Today’s Pakistan in conflict with Iqbal’s vision: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while delivering his keynote telephonic speech from Canada at a seminar entitled “Iqbal’s Thought and Today’s Pakistan”. Vice Chancellor of Minhaj University Lahore Dr Ali Muhammad Qadri, Col. (r) Muhammad Ahmad, G.M. Malik, Chaudhry Muhammad Youqub and Dr Zahid were also present on the occasion.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that today’s Pakistan appears to be in conflict with Iqbal’s ideals. Contrary to the huge importance Islam attaches to the human rights, the honour, life and property are not safe here. He said that the ship of the Pakistan state seems to be caught up in unchartered waters with little chance of coming out of whirlpool with the kind of leaderships presently available in the country. He instructed the students to dedicate themselves to learning knowledge to get the country out of its present predicaments.
