Turkish delegation visits MQI’s secretariat

A three-member delegation of Turkey visited the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on November 28, 2012. Upon arrival, the central leaders of MQI extended a warm welcome to the respected guests.

A meeting was held with the visiting delegation in which Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Allama Sadiq Qureshi, GM Malik, Prof Rafique Habib, Allama Sohail Ahmad Saddiqi, Dr Ali Akbar Al-Azhari, and other leaders participated from MQI’s side.

A ceremony was held in the honour of the guests in the Conference Room of the secretariat, which was attended among others by students from COSIS. Dr Ali Akbar Al-Azhari introduced the guests. Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani and Dr Raheeq Abbasi spoke on the occasion. They threw light on the services and contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and MQI in various fields.

The participants underlined the need of strengthening student exchanges and exploring ways and means to boost ties between Pakistan and Turkey at the people-to-people level.

Dr Saleh Yousal, head of the Turkish delegation, appreciated the educational system of Minhaj University, which was a blend of classical and modern sciences. He said that MQI had worked in an organized manner.

The delegation also called on Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Federal Council, at his residence and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest. They discussed various facets of Pak-Turkey bilateral relations. The delegation appreciated the services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in the field of education and welfare.
