Minhaj College for Women holds Sayyida e Kainat Seminar

To mark the birth anniversary of Sayyida e Kainat Fatima Al Zahra, may peace and blessings -be upon her, Minhaj College for Women organized a seminar titled ‘Sayyida e Kainat Seminar’ with the collaboration of Khana Farhanage-e-Iran (Iranian Cultural Center at Lahore) at Mustafai Hall of the College.

Renowned personalities of Pakistan belonging to various walks of life including academia, politics attended the seminar. Among them were In-charge Public Relations at Khana Farhang-e-Iran Ms. Samina Arifa, Head of Department Persian Department Lahore College University, Dr. Faleeha Zahra Kazmi, Principal Jamia Sirajia Naeemia and Member Provincial Assembly Ms. Nabeera Andaleeb , renowned writer Ms. Bushra Rehman, Assistant Prof. Arabic Language and Literature at Minhaj College Ms. Nabeela Ishaq, Assistant Prof. Uloom e Dineeyah at Minhaj College Mr. Noor uz Zamaan Noori and Principal Minhaj College for Women Principal Samar Fatima.

The chief guests of the programme were Professors from Education University Tehran Iran, Dr. Nahla Naini Gharavi and Dr. Raamadi while director Khana e Farhang e Iran Mr. Akbar Barkhurdari was also among the distinguished guests.

The seminar commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran by Ghosiyyah Dastageer followed by translation by Ms. Amna Saif while Ms. Nida Siddiqa than presented Naat in praise of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The seminar proceeded with the introduction of the guests and their views regarding the topic while the seminar was presided by Ms. Qurat ul Ain Zahoor and Ms. Amna Saif.

Expressing her views at the occasion, Dr. Faleeha Zahara Kazmi said, “Honorable Fatima Al Zahra (RA) is a woman of noble traits created by Allah Almighty as a sign of His marvelous and unprecedented might. She is a perfect role model in every role as a daughter, as a wife or as a mother.”

In her remarks, chief guest Dr. Nahla Naini Garavi said, “Allah Almighty bestowed Fatima (RA) with vast share of greatness and high level of majesty which no other woman can ever claim. She said, “Fatima Al Zahra is a perfect example for today’s wife, daughter and a mother”.

The students of Lahore College University and Minhaj College for Women also presented Kalam-e-Iqbal at the occasion. Among them were Hira Zahra and Amar ul Huda respectively. On behalf of Minhaj College for Women, Principal Dr. Samar Fatima presented welcoming address and thanked all guests for sparing time to attend the seminar. She threw light on the various aspects of revered personality of Hazrat Fatima. She also made an important announcement to name the library of College as “Fatima Al Zahra Library”.

At the end of the seminar, Director Khana-e-Farhang-e-Iran Mr. Akbar Barkhurdari applauded the initiative of Minhaj College for Women on organizing this seminar. He said that such programmes should be frequently held as they connect us to our glorious past besides apprising the modern generation about the contributions of the revered personalities of Islam. The ceremony culminated with Dua by Amir of MQI Sahibzada Faiz ur Rehnam Durani.
