Ramazan package distributed among 500 families under MWF Help Feed Project
On the special instructions of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the distribution of ration among the needy and underprivileged sections of society under Help Feed Project of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) continues throughout the country. One such ceremony of ration distribution took place at the central secretariat of PAT during the holy month of Ramazan in which 500 families were given Ramazan package.
PAT President Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Director Minhaj Welfare Foundation Amjad Ali Shah, Khurram Shahzad, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, Tayyab Zia and other leaders were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said that the holy month of Ramazan provides us an opportunity to share the grief of those underprivileged sections of society that remain deprived of basic necessities of life due to poverty and destitution.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the purpose of ration distribution among the needy and the poor is not only to facilitate them during ‘Sehri and Iftar’ but also to create awareness among the well-to-do people about the need of coming forward and helping the poorest of the poor out of resources Allah Almighty has endowed on them. He said that the holy month of Ramazan is the best source of winning pleasure of Allah Almighty. He said that all of us should shoulder the responsibility of taking care of the basic needs of the poor sections of society.
Syed Amjad Ali Shah said on the occasion that real happiness can be obtained by bringing the smiles back on the gloomy faces of the poor. He said that Ramazan package contains all those necessary items, which are sufficient for a family during the holy month.
