Canadian Moslem Scholar was launching 600 page books which contain Islamic fatwa or Islamic Teaching against terror. "This is my jihad against terrorism," he told the Daily News of his recent ruling earlier this month.
Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri who is based in Toronto, believes his religious order, or fatwa, banning suicide bombings and other terrorist acts will save American lives.
But he admits there are hundreds of would-be bombers out there beyond reach. "Human beings are human beings everywhere; there is no right of killing. This is against Islam and against every religion and against the values of humanity."
Pakistani-born Qadri, 59, admitted it would be slow progress achieving his aim. "It will take some time but gradually it will work," he added. "And it will bring very positive results in changing the mind of the youths, in America, in Britain, in the western world and in the Arab world too."
