Shaykh-ul-Islam’s birthday celebrated at Minhaj University Lahore
The 60th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was celebrated across five continents with traditional fervor. A special ceremony was organized in the Minhaj University Lahore on February 19, 2011. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of MQI’s Supreme Council, was the chief guest on the occasion. Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Dr Ali Muhammad, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Hazarvi, Dr Zahoorullah Qadri, G.M. Malik, Raja Jamil Ajmal, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Col. (r ) Muhammad Ahmad, Prof Sajjad ul Aziz, Javed Iqbal Qadri and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking in the central birthday ceremony, Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of MQI’s Supreme Council said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s services for the establishment and promotion of peace globally distinguish him in the world. There is a dire need of the hour to benefit from the services of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to promote Islamic message of peace. He said that MQI has been engaged in the struggle for restoration of rights of the downtrodden sections of society under the inspiring leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. “Today is the day of reiteration of our commitment with our beloved leader. We pledge to leave no stone unturned to achieve the dream dreamed by our leader,” he said.
Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that hundreds of thousands of the Muslims are benefiting from the educational, spiritual, and political services of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Secretary General of MQI, said that the worldwide expansion of MQI and its effectiveness is a glaring proof of the fact that MQI has become the greatest movement of the world in a short span of 30 years and the credit for this phenomenal success goes to the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that the workers and members of the MQI pledge to make full efforts to turn the dream of Shaykh-ul-Islam into reality as the inheritor of his trust and legacy.
