Protest rallies to be rehearsal of decisive struggle: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri addresses foundation-day ceremony of MYL

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI’s Supreme Council, has said that skyrocketing price hike has snatched from people their right to a decent living. He said that the insensitivity of the ruling elite was grinding masses as tsunami of poverty and dearness became a marked feature of daily life. He said that prices of all items were far from being stable and the graph of inflation was registering an upward trend by the day. He said that people had become patients of anxiety and restlessness while the rulers did not have the eyes to witness plight of people, ears to hear their heart-wrenching woes and officials to govern and make life easier for them. He said that continuity of flawed economic policies had weakened the country from inside out with the result that the people were pushed into depth of despondency with no light at the end of tunnel. In these circumstances, they should pledge to become ‘namazis’ of the ‘namaz of revolution’ which was going to be established under the leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, he held.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League in the central secretariat yesterday. Allama Muhammad Afzal Saeedi, Shoaib Tahir, Hafiz Waqar, Ateeq Chaudhry and others were also present on the occasion.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that plunder of national resources continued mercilessly in the name of democracy. He said that PAT did not want to pick up any personal fight with anyone, adding at the same time that it would not allow the vested interests to compromise of sovereignty, honor and national interests. He said that PAT’s struggle was for the sake of protection of the country and prosperity of the people. He said that the countrywide rallies would be taken out to protest against the corrupt mafias of tax evaders and looter of resources, adding that these protest rallies would be a kind of rehearsal of the decisive struggle and the ‘namaz’ of one million namazis would soon be ready to get the people rid of incompetent ruling elite.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the protest rallies, which would be organized from December 29 onward under the banner of PAT, would be attended by people belonging to all walks of life including children, women and the elderly. He said that the current political system was safeguarding the interests of the industrialists and feudal for last 65 years and it could be replaced with a truly representative system only when people struggled for change. He asked the people to take part in these rallies in their large number to register their disapproval of the incumbent system, which was responsible for their predicaments and miseries.
