The conference began with the recital of Surah Al Kafiroon creating a  serene atmosphere amongst the audience. The famous Qasida Burda of Sayyidina Imam Busiri along with dhikr was recited motivating and enlightening a flame of dhikrullah amongst the large gathering of  mothers, sisters and daughters. Prior to the manqabats, urdu and english nasheeds, Sister Kauthar briefly emphasised and explained how Almighty Allah Himself praises the Holy Prophet (SAW) in the Glorious Qur’an, thus making it His Sunnah and obligatory upon us all to do so.

The youth sisters recited many beautiful and heart warming nasheeds in praise of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and also in rememberance of Hadhrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the event of Karbala. Sister Safia delievered a efficacious speech expressing through Hadith-e-Rasool (SAW) the intense and deep rooted love and affection the Holy Prophet (SAW) had for his grandsons Sayyidina Hadrat Hasan (RA) and Sayyidina Hadrat Imam Hussain (RA) as well as his daughter Hadrat Fatima (RA) and Hadrat Ali (RA). She explained through the hadith-e-Rasool (SAW) the importance of loving the Ahl-Baith and that if we wage war against any member of Rasoolallah (SAW)’s family we in fact wage war against the Holy Prophet (SAW)! The great sacrifices of the Ahl-Baith and the martyrdom of Hadrat Imam Hussain (RA) were also described and Sister Safia concluded her talk by mentioning the lessons of Muharram and how we can implement similar sacrifices in todays society in order to prevail in the Deen of Islam.

The atmosphere began to intensify extremely with the Takbeers and created a sensation of love, passion, affection, attachment and devotion for the Holy Prophet (SAW) and his family. Sister Naila delivered an Urdu speech and elaborately expressed the concept of sabr (patience) through Qur’anic verses and its its tafseer and stressed how Almighty Allah (SWT) says He is with the patient ones. She then explained the extent of sabr Hadrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the Ahl-Baith had whilst they were in Karbala as they had migrated from their homes and were deprived of food, water and shelter by Yazid’s army.

Throughout the conference many nasheeds were recited, which motivated and encouraged everyone to also proclaim the praises of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and to remember the events of the Ahl-Baith that took place at Karbala. Emotional nasheeds relating to the month of Muharram were also recited by Sisters Nasreen and Hajrah as well as Sister Rifat which considerably touched the hearts of everyone who attended and enhanced their burning desire of love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) and the Ahl-Baith. Finally we give our endless shukr (thankfulness) to Almighty Allah (SWT) and the Holy Prophet (SAW) for enabling the Muslim Sisters Youth league to organise such an event.
