UK: MQI (Ashton-U-L) hosts Ramadan spiritual gathering

The monthly Halqa-e-Durood gathering organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran (Ashton-U-Lyne) began after the completion of Salat Zuhr at Ashton Central Mosque.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Glorious Quran by the Khateeb of Ashton Central Mosque, Allama Qari Zahid Sharif Rizvi followed by the collective recitation of Imam al-Busiri's ode of praise for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Qasida al-Burda.

After which there was a collective recitation of the Durood-e-Minhaj led by MQI (Ashton) President Haji Muhammad Ashfaq Warsi. Following which Allama Qari Zahid Sharif Rizvi led the recitation of the Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Halqa-e-Durood Wazaif, which were distributed in printed format to all male and female attendees, for collective recitation. This involved the complete participation of all male and female attendees and was appreciated by many new comers and regular participants.

Thence forth, the Imam of Ashton Central Mosque, Imam Ghulam Mohiyuddin Al-Azhari spoke about the state of purity, which fasting provides during the Holy Month of Ramadan. He highlighted the importance of sending Durood and Salutations upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stating that even Almighty Allah sends Durood & Salutations upon his most beloved of creation (PBUH). He emphasised the significance of the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Allama Qari Zahid Sharif Rizvi elucidated further by presenting a Hadith in regards to Durood & Salutations and then leading onto another recitation of a Naat. Haji Muhammad Ashfaq Warsi. A collective and spiritual session of Dhikr & Salaat-ul-Salaam was held, which was greatly appreciated by many attendees.

The program concluded with the special prayer for the ill, poor and less fortunate people of this world as well as ‘Esal-e-Sawab’ of the late respected:

Muhammad Ali - World Boxing Champion, Muslim Hero & Life-Time Member of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, who had inspired the lives of many people around the world; Pir Syed Sabir Hussain Bukhari of Janjora Shareef (AK), beloved Grandfather of Syed Ali Abbas Bukhari sb (MQI-UK President); Muhammad Riaz Abbasi (Murree & Islamabad), father of Umar Riaz Abbasi and uncle of Dr. Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi and Khalid Masood, brother of Tanveer Pasha (MQI-UK RCC Midlands Gen. Secretary) and annual prayers for Fazal-ur-Rehman Malik, late Uncle of Asif H. Malik & Dr Khaleel Malik.

Ramadhan ‘Tabarruk’ was distributed after the gathering's conclusion and was greatly appreciated by all the attendees of the Ashton Central Mosque.

MQI (Ashton) President thanked all attendees and announced that the next Monthly Halqa-e-Durood Gathering is scheduled to be held on Saturday 9th July 2016, at Ashton Central Mosque.
