Minhaj-ul-Quran International attended and actively participated in the hearing for Accelerating the realization of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls organised by the UN Women at the United Nations Headquarters (virtual), New York, USA. The Minhaj-ul-Quran representatives interacted with a variety of diverse changemakers, organisation executives, and dignitaries around the world via the virtual platform provided by the UN, on the topic of protecting and empowering women and young girls worldwide.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered an online speech to the senior management and administration of Orphan Care Home (Aghosh) on July 8, 2020. Performance reports of Aghosh, and Tehfeez-ul-Quran were presented in the meeting.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri congratulates Muhammad Sultan on his release
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated Muhammad Sultan, the prisoner of model Town case, on his release. Muhammad Sultan fell seriously sick and was shifted to Karachi after many efforts. Dr Qadri congratulated him on his release from the jail and prayed for his early recovery. He also felicitated his family on the big day.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered an online talk to 112 workers of PAT and MQI who were recently released on bail. He said we did not lose even a single moment in the struggle for justice. He said the best we can do is to wage a struggle but the power to decide rests with others. Addressing his workers, he said the faces have changed but their enemy still remains the same, adding that the hardships and sufferings have no decreased.
President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the teachings of the Sufis impart the lesson of love. He said these teachings should be adopted in life to attain peace both within and without. He said we have ignored the Sufis with little attention paid to their teachings and sayings and it is the reason why we continue to be confused and misguided. Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said Qudwat-ul-Awliya’ Sayyiduna Tahir Ala-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani reformed humanity and offered guidance to them in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said the enemies of Pakistan and Islam are negatively using the social media to mislead the youth. He asked the youth and the internet users not to believe in the content shared online without carrying our necessary research about its authenticity. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while delivering a speech on the topic of Social Media and Morality.
93 prisoners of Pakistan Awami Tehreek were released from the jails of Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Bhakkar, and Shahpur today. PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najam, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, Muhammad Asif Sulahria, and other central leaders warmly welcome the released workers and garlanded them as they came out.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that there were three phases of the protest movement aimed at seeking justice in the Model Town case. Firstly when the FIR was not being registered; secondly, when the report of Justice Baqir Najafi Commission was not being made public and thirdly, when the demand for the formation of neutral JIT was not being accepted. The workers took to protest at that time. The detail of these three phases is given as under:
MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed his gratitude to Allah Almighty on the acceptance of the bail of 93 inmates of the PAT. He said he is very happy to learn that the Lahore High Court has accepted the bail of the innocent workers who were booked on false charges. He said we now await the verdict of them being declared innocent.
