On the fifth gathering during the night of 25th of Ramazan at the Itikaf City, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri continued his lecture on spiritualism from Imam Ghazali's "Bidayatul Hidayah". He described the fifth meaning of piety and said that the journey towards reform and guidance starts off with piety. He said that there are internal and external aspects of the concept of piety. Provincial minister for religious affairs Sahibzada Sayyid Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah was the guest of honour at the session.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri drew on Imam Ghazali's famous book to continue his lecture on spiritualism in the fourth session of Itikaf being held under the banner of MQI. He described the meaning of piety by referring to a famous book of Sayyiduna Ghaus-ul-Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jillani. Deriving the definition of piety from a sage Al-Qasim bin Al-Qasim, Huzoor Ghaus-ul-Azam said that complying with commands of Shariah and protecting its sanctity is piety.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that those who are dividing the Muslims in the name of faith and spreading hatred among them are misguided. He said that Islam is a religion of peace, love and human brotherhood. He said that the Islamic code of conduct is based on a combination of rights and responsibilities.
Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar visited the Itikaf City. President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Khurram Nawaz Gandapur welcomed him at the Itikaf. Expressing his views on the occasion, Nadeem Sarwar said that he was impressed to see the fine arrangements made for Itikaf. He said that everything was being done as per SOP in a fine manner.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation has arranged medical camps in the Itikaf City 2019. Round the clock medical service is being provided to the residents during the ten days of Itikaf. Medical officers and paramedical officers are present on duty to cater to any medical emergency. Mutakif patients are given free medical treatment as well as medicines.
The largest Itikaf gathering after the one held at Two Holy Mosques continues with traditional fervor in Township Lahore under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. In addition to daily special lectures of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, an educational intellectual sitting is held every day on various jurisprudential and religious issues for the participants of Itikaf City in which Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi replies to the questions of the people in a very lucid and easy-to-understand manner.
Over ten thousand people have joined Itikaf City under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. A large number of women are also part of the spiritual retreat for which separate arrangements have been made. The people from all over Pakistan have come to be part of Itikaf 2019. In his introductory speech, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri congratulated the faithful and advised them to make most of their time during Itikaf.
The second gathering of the Itikaf was held on May 27. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered his lecture on the topic of spiritualism selected from the famous book of Imam Ghazali (R.A) namely Bidayatul Hidayah (The Beginning of Guidance). Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri attended the second gathering.

Addressing the residents of Itikaf City on the subjects of faith, conviction and piety on the first day live from London through a video link, MQI leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Allah is ‘wali’ (Helper & Supporter) of every human being, whereas every human being is not ‘wali’ of Allah. He said as the gas, oil and other treasures cannot be found without digging, how can one get the treasure of Allah’s nearness without hard work?

Briefing the Chairman of the Supreme Council about arrangements, Jawad Hamid, the Secretary of Itikaf 2019, said that the thousands of people from different districts and regions of Pakistan in Punjab, KP, Sindh, Balochistan, GB and AJ&K registered themselves for Itikaf this year. He said that a large number of women will join the Itikaf City as well for whom separate arrangements have been made.
Thousands of people attend Itikaf organized under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran International annually for purgation and purification of heart, understanding of religion, penitence, and personal reform. All is set for Itikaf City 2019 this year too as hundreds of Caravans of the faithful start for MQI Itikaf City Township Lahore from different parts of the country to take part in the Itikaf.
The city of repentance, rectification of deeds, purification of soul, understanding of Deen, known by the name of Itikaf City, has been established with thousands of the faithful participating. The vast building attached with Minhaj Girls College has been allocated for female Mutakifeen where thousands of women are enjoying the spiritual environment.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation distributed the food ration among more than 300 deserving families yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, Director MWF Syed Amjad Ali Shah said that helping the deserving and needy people is the best of human actions and worship. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri often says that the service of humanity is actually the service of Islam. He said that in line with the vision of its founding-leader, Minhaj Welfare Foundation has been rendering its services not only in Pakistan but also overseas.
