Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri addresses All Parties Conference (APC) on Model Town Massacre - 30 December 2017
All Parties Conference (APC) strongly condemns the Model Town tragedy and the purported attempt to change the wording of law regarding the finality of the prophethood. Model Town tragedy is the worst ever incident of state terrorism in which the top PML-N leadership including Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah, police officers and bureaucrats are involved. They injured 100 people with live bullets in Model Town for their vested political interests in the garb of removing the barriers placed on the orders of the High Court, out of which 14 people were martyred.
To highlight the merciful and compassionate nature of teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Minhaj Youth League India volunteers participated in various educational and welfare activities across India on the occasion of birth of the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him). Addressing a joint press conference along with PTI Chairman Imran Khan, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that while the elder Sharif went home in Panama case, the younger brother will go home in Model Town case. He said that the nation should be informed on whose orders the police force of 45 police stations came for operation in Model Town, if not on those of the Chief Minister himself.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the leader of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has congratulated the members of Christian community living in Pakistan as well as around the world on the auspicious occasion of Christmas. In his felicitation message, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Christmas is an occasion of festivity that marks the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ. He said that while celebrating the festival, it is important to remember the message of peace, love and harmony espoused by Jesus Christ.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri establishes contact with political leadership
On the 24th December 2017 Minhaj-ul-Quran Derby organised Annual Melad in the Derby Jamia Mosque. A large number of brothers and sisters including children attended the programme. The programme, which started after Asar with the recitation of Holy Quran, was followed by beautiful Naats from local naat khawans. In his English Speech, Hafiz Faizan e Muhammad emphasised the importance and benefits of following the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ.
Representatives from Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Mosque visited the Nelson Police Station to thank the local police team for their help throughout the year with a much-appreciated box of chocolates and wished us a Merry Christmas. Inspector Andy Winter along with his colleagues welcomed the guests.
The program was arranged by the scholars of MQI Glasgow as well as the Shariah class brothers and sisters on Sunday 17th December. The event was themed around the blessed birth of the Beloved Prophet (Peace be upon Him) and also the concept of peace, unity and mercy. The program conveyed all of these messages and also the amount of work and effort put in by the youngsters who devoted their time to learn about the Beloved of Allah (Peace be upon Him).

Minhaj-ul-Quran International Bahrain celebrated Bahrain National Day in an inspiring and decent manner. A ceremony was held on 14th December, 2017 in this regard in conjunction with weekly gathering of Durood-o-Salam. The chief guest of the event, Shaykh Sameer Abdul Rahman Al-Fayez represented Shaikh Rashid bin Ibrahim Al-Muraikhi who is chief patron of Jamiat Imam Malik bin Anas and Minhaj-ul-Quran International Bahrain. Mr. Sajid Khan who is director of MQI Bahrain was the guest of honor.
PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior leader and former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and MWM leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas called on PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at the central secretariat here on Sunday and reiterated their support to PAT on its quest for justice for the families of the martyrs of Model Town massacre. They said that after the publication of Justice Najafi Commission report, both Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah are left with no option but to resign and surrender themselves to the law.

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri addressed a press conference along with Pak Sarzameen Party leader Mustafa Kamal who called on him at his residence on Saturday at the head of a delegation. He said that a powerful and neutral JIT on the pattern of the Panama JIT should be formed for investigation of Model Town case. He said that the accused should leave their public positions immediately and hand themselves over to law in the light of Justice Najafi Commission report.
