On the 12th night of Rabi-ul-Awwal, Minhaj-ul-Quran International held a special Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ programme at Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran, Nelson. The event was organised to celebrate the birthday of our most beloved and dearest Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Several internationally renowned Naat Khawans attended the event including Khalid Hasnain Khalid and Syed Zabeeb Masood.

A grand Peace March was held on Sunday, November 26th 2017, on the auspicious occasion of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him). The annual march was attended by the people from different cities of Denmark, national organizations and political parties across the country.
The office holders of MQI (South Africa chapter), Fayyaz Akbar and Rana Asif Jamil, held a meeting with Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela, the grandson of iconic anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela, and invited him to attend the 34th International Milad Conference in Lahore, which he readily accepted.
As per tradition, with the beginning of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, all buildings associated with MQI have been illumined with decorative lights. It includes the central secretariat, Gosha-e-Durood, Minhaj-ul-Quran Mosque, College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences, Minhaj College for Women, other related institutions and adjoining streets have been decorated with bulbs and lights.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has greeted the Muslims around the globe on the advent of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. In his message on the occasion, he said that the onset of the blessed month brings with it a message of peace, happiness and tranquility. He said that our individual happiness was no match to the collective happiness symbolized by the holy month.
As a part of Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations for the year 2017, a special training session was conducted by MQI Bahrain in its center located in Muharraq on 19th Nov, 2017. The session was jointly presided by Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Bhinder (Amir MQI, Bahrain) and Mr. Abdul Rahim Chishti (President MQI Bahrain). The session started with Tilawat-e-Quran. Naat Shareef recited by Mr. Sajjad Hassan Qadri Mujadidi (Vice Ameer MQI Bahrain), Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Mirza (Vice President MQI Bahrain), Mr. Ishaq Nadeem (Vice President Majlis Shoora).

Preparations for 30th International Milad Conference 2017 kick off
A three-day option spiritual retreat started under the banner of Training Department of Minhaj College for Women Lahore on November 14. The purpose of the retreat is to impart moral and spiritual training to the participants. A large number of students, teachers and scholars will attend the Itikaf. The activities of the moot have been dedicated to the subjects of knowledge, implementation and Dawah.
Minhaj University Lahore and Punjab Higher Education Department organized a two-day international conference on ‘Religious Pluralism and World Peace’, which was attended by scholars of global repute. Addressing the conference, the scholars said that no religion allows or sanctions terrorism. They said that if injunctions of a religion are followed in letter and spirit, no place will be left for terrorism and extremism in the world.
Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri demands actions against conspirators behind change in law
Addressing a massive gathering of monthly spiritual gathering held at Minhaj-ul-Quran secretariat, the president of MQI, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has said that the government hurt the religious sensibilities of the Muslims by making an amendment to the declaration regarding the finality of the prophethood and abolishing the law that deals with the constitutional status of Ahmadis altogether.

MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that the Burmese government’s treatment of the Rohingya Muslims is both condemnable as well as accountable. He asked the UN, human rights organizations and the Islamic world to raise voice against the genocide of the minority Muslim community. He said that the UN and the Islamic world is duty bound to speak up against the worst human rights violations and take effective steps to stop extermination of the Rohingyas in Burma.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI Supreme Council, has congratulated the members, associates, office-bearers and workers of MQI on the 38th foundation day of the organization. He said that MQI has rejected baseless and misleading propaganda of lining Islam with terrorism in the light of the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunna and told the Muslim and non-Muslim societies that Islam does not approve of terrorism.
