Minhaj-ul-Quran International (South Africa chapter) arranged a meeting of religious scholars of different schools of thought with Dr. Hassan Mohi-din-Qadri in auditorium hall of Al Aqdas Masjid, Cape Town. Dr. Hassan discussed comprehensively the concepts of Jihad and peace in this gathering.
On Sunday 23rd April 2017, the annual Miraj-un-Nabi conference was held at Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson. The event commenced after Asar prayer under the supervision of Allama Shams-ur-Rehman Asi and featured a special documentary summarizing the main events that occurred on that blessed night journey of Isra wal Miraj.

A prestigious Conference with reference to Miraj-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) was held Welcome City Hall, Free State, on April 20, 2017 under the banner of MQI South Africa. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri delivered his keynote address on the occasion. Addressing the programme, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Ascension, out and out, is a journey of love. He said that night holds a special significance for meeting of the beloveds.
MQI (South Africa) organized ‘Shan-e-Auliya’ Conference on April 19, 2017 in Johannesburg. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was the guest of honour and the keynote speaker on the occasion. A prestigious ‘Peace Conference’ was held in Johannesburg on April 17, 2017, under the banner of MQI. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri delivered his keynote speech to the Conference. Dr Hassan Qadri threw light on the respect and reverence for the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He quoted a Hadith which stated that Hazrat Jibrail (AS) educated the Companions about the manners of paying reverence to the Prophet (PBUH).

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed his deepest sense of grief and sorrow on the passing away of Shaykh-ul-Hadith Allama Muhammad Miraj-ul-Islam. He said that the Islamic world has been deprived of a religious scholar par excellence, Hadith scholar and true lover of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a result of his death.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri urges experts to play their role for national development
The 26th meeting of Minhajians Parliament consisting of over 500 professionals and experts who are graduates of the Minhaj University and rendering services in different walks of life was held with Abul Hassan Al-Azhari in the chair. The chief highlight of the meeting was the keynote address by MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri from Australia.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League has started AL-Hidayah project to spread the learning of Quran among the women. In this regard, while addressing the inaugural ceremony held in regional office of Defense, Chief Guest Ms. Fizza Hussain Qadri said that the biggest cause of the increasing extremism is the distance from the Quranic teachings. She added that it was unavoidable need of contemporary era to concentrate on the religious training and education of women to promote the Islamic values and traditions and to establish peaceful society.

Minhaj ul Quran Women League Alum Rock, Birmingham was invited by Hodgehill School to come and celebrate a Mawlid un Nabi (SAW).Young girls group called Pearls of Minhaj took part in Tilawat and Naat Shareef on stage individually and as groups, which created an amazing spiritual atmosphere.
In April 2017, a monthly program was organized at Minhaj-ul-Quran centre, by the Women League of Alum Rock Birmingham. This program was hosted by Sister Shazia Parveen MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham), who invited young Mehreen to recite verses from the Glorious Quran, to start the proceedings.
