Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has greeted the Muslims around the globe on the advent of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. In his message on the occasion, he said that the onset of the blessed month brings with it a message of peace, happiness and tranquility. He said that our individual happiness was no match to the collective happiness symbolized by the holy month.

The practice of proving oneself right and others wrong should come to an end. How can Islam approve of taking lives of humans when it has determined rights for the animals? Addressing the Youth Peace Conference, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI Federal Council, has said that the youth should make Operation Zarb-e-Azb successful by launching Operation Zarb-e-Ilm. He said that these are not the roads, bridges and motorways that make nations, adding that promotion of knowledge and arts do. He said that incompetent political leadership and ignorance generated terrorism, injustice and intolerance. He said that heavy responsibility falls on the shoulders of the youth to crush terrorism and extremism.

Islamic Curriculum on Peace and Counter-Terrorism was launched in a ceremony held under the banner of Minhaj Youth League Karachi at Expo Centre on November 16. Minhaj Women College organized All-Punjab Inter-Collegiate speech competition to mark 138th birth anniversary of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal. The female students belonging to Lahore and Punjab took part in the competition in a large number. Iqra Mubeen of Minhaj Women College, Qiratul Ain Fatima of Government College University, and Saeeda Fatima of Jamia Nooria Rizvi got first, second and third positions respectively.
