LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has upheld the order of a lower court regarding registration of an FIR against prime minister, Punjab chief minister and other federal and provincial ministers on a complaint of Minhajul Quran in Model Town shooting case. The sessions court in Lahore had issued a verdict on the petition filed by MuQ, ordering the provincial government to have the case registered on the complaint of Minhajul Quran against 21 persons.
PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that prayer on the occasion of Juma-e-Inqilab has been offered on the Constitution Avenue before Parliament House for the first time in history of the country. He said that a Muslim is an incarnation of peace, adding that neither does he commit any excess on others nor does he let anyone else to commit repression on him. He said that lack of access to basic necessities of life such as employment, shelter, and food etc was oppression of worst kind and according to the saying of the Holy Prophet (SAW), rising against this repression was binding on everyone.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, who has set a 48-hour deadline for the government to resign, claimed on Monday that the rule of the Sharifs would be over within the next few hours. He also called upon the people to come out of their homes and join the PAT rally because “the time for revolution is now or never”.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Tahirul Qadri has said that there is no bigger Lenin, Stalin or Marx than him, while stating that Pakistan will have a “system that will be in line with the Quran and the vision of Jinnah and Iqbal”. Speaking to a charged crowd of PAT workers in Islamabad on Sunday, Qadri lashed out at the present system, saying that the system is unable to catch thieves as it is “full of thieves itself”.

LAHORE: A sessions court has ordered that cases be registered against 22 people, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, over the June 17 Model Town clashes, Express News reported. Around 14 PAT supporters were killed and over 80 were injured in the deadly clashes between the police and PAT workers.
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri on Thursday noon announced formally launching his long march to Islamabad and laid out the purpose of his revolution, ARY News reported. Talking to media outside Minhaj ul Quran secretariat in Model Town before beginning his march, the PAT chief said the march would let oppressed and deprived people get their social and democratic rights.

He offered other political parties, TV anchors and civil society to visit the Minhajul Quran International (MQI) Secretariat and see if they had any weapons. “I will call the march off if any weapons are found in MQI Secretariat”, said Qadri. He said that allegations against him of inciting people to violence were baseless.

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will observe Yaum-e-Shuhada today to commemorate the martyrs of Model Town Tragedy and Pakistan Army’s Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan Agency. The main ceremony would be organized in front of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Secretariat. LAHORE: Seething cauldron of clashing temperatures between police and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) seems to have slightly calmed down on Saturday as compared to the last two days after Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Sukhera ordered removal of barricades. However, police continue to have security beefed up in Model Town and its surrounding areas to maintain the law and order.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, while addressing the gathering on Youm-e-Shuhada at Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat in Lahore, has said that people will stay at the venue for three days where “Quran Khwani” will be held for the victims of the Model Town incident.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has announced revolution march on August 14 for elimination of the system of oppression and coercion. He asked 180 million people to stand up to repression and status quo which was responsible for keeping them mired in poverty and backwardness. He said that sacrifices of the workers in the way of revolution including getting tear-gased, baton-charged and embracing martyrdom were worthy of our deepest respect and pride. He said that neither would oppression nor oppressor be spared now, adding that the reign of the cruel rulers would come to an end.
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that Martyrs’ Day will definitely be observed on August 10 and that PAT workers must not surrender. “This is the path of revolution, and each step you take will go down in history,” he said while addressing a press conference late on Friday night. Dr Qadri, however, gave personal assurance that there would be no violence and aggression, if the Punjab government removed all barricades it has placed to stop the PAT workers from reaching Lahore.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday directed a bailiff to produce nearly 11,000 activists of Pakistan Awami Tehreek in the court after recovering them from police detention. The order was passed on a petition filed by PAT general secretary Mian Amjad who said nearly 11,000 PAT activists were being held at various police stations.

Dr Tahirul Qadri while directing his followers not to arrive in Lahore, asked them to observe the Day of Martyrs in their respective cities. He said the government set a new example of brutality yesterday, while the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif issued direct orders to police to shoot down innocent PAT workers.
