The 30th annual International Milad Conference was held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International across 250 cities of Pakistan. This year, this Conference was unique and historic in the sense that love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was expressed across the country in the form of 250 Milad gatherings in which hundreds of thousands of people participated. Millions of people attended the Milad Conference held in Bangalore (India) under the banner of the India chapter of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. The thousands of people congregated on a cold and chilly night in Mandi Bahauddin to pay their tributes to the holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
The hundreds of thousands of the faithful will attend the International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference only from Lahore and adjoining areas while millions of people from across 250 cities of Pakistan would take part in the proceedings through video links at their respective places. The chief highlight of the event is the keynote address of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri that he would deliver through video link.

He was speaking from Toronto (Canada) via video-conferencing as he didn't get a visa attend a roundtable discussion on People's SAARC, an interfaith meet for harmony and solidarity in South Asia.
Thousands of women from across the city of Lahore only will attend the 30th annual International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference to be held under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Lahore on the night of January 13, 2014. On 12th January 2014, the MYL-Sisters in Halifax held their third seminar; which was a Mawlid Special seminar. The topic of the seminar was ‘Love’ and was held at the Minhaj Education Centre in Halifax. The seminar was hosted by Tahira Afzal, which lasted for one hour and thirty minutes.
On the 12th of January 2014, the Women's League of Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson hosted annual Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW) program at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre in Nelson. This event was hosted by Sister Nasreen Akhtar and Sister Sana Ashraf. Over 600 women, girls and children participated in the event, expressing their love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (Bradford) had the blessed privilege to organise a ‘Giyarvee Sharif’ gathering with the ‘ziyarat’ of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw)’s hair and various other ‘ziyarts’. The timing of this special gathering was from 2pm to 6pm.

Author of the acclaimed book 'Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings', Dr Qadri, who is living in Canada for past few years because of threat to his life in Pakistan, said this while delivering his keynote address via a live video feed at the "People's SAARC Prayer for Peace", an interfaith roundtable conference to promote peace, solidarity and harmony in South Asia.
The interfaith prayer meeting and roundtable conference was jointly organised by the Observer Research Foundation Mumbai, a not-for-profit public policy think tank, and an NGO Minhaj-ul-Quran International, India. He also called for peaceful relations between India and Pakistan stating that instead of considering each other as sworn enemies, they should unite to fight their real common enemies of poverty, disease, illness, corruption and underdevelopment. “We need to create a society free of poverty and corruption with equitable distribution of resources, without abuse of power, one that respects human rights, with the positive use of research, science and technology,” he said.
On Tuesday, 7th of January, The Muslim Youth League UK-Sisters had the opportunity to attend a Mawlid programme at the Kabana Restaurant in Glasgow. A stall was set up, which consisted of literature produced by MYLUK-Sisters and also free literature was made available of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for the participants. The sister’s team consisted of Tasmiyyah (MYLUK-S Glasgow Co-ordinator), Humma, Malayka, Maria and Humaira. Contact details of the female participants were collected so that they could be updated with regard to future events.

Peace in the region cannot be achieved without active guidance of faith leaders and Dr Qadri is among leading faith leaders of the region who have impacted millions of people," said ORF (Mumbai)'s chairman Sudheendra Kulkarni. Spiritual leaders of Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Christianity and Sikhism will also participate in the roundtable discussion and the prayer meet.
