On May 29, 2010, the Center of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Stavanger) Norway welcomed a delegation of the Minhaj Peace & Integration Council consisting of Director Ejaz Ahmed Warraich for two-day visit. The main focus of the tour was to launch a similar council in Stavanger that would work for integration, social welfare, and local working assistance.

Minhaj Ulama Council holds protest rally against blasphemous sketches
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Greece) organized ‘Peace Conference’ on May 28, 2010 in MQI Centre Rendi. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI’s Supreme Council, was the guest of honour on the occasion. He had come to Greece during his tour of Europe. The Conference was attended by over 1200 delegates from different parts of Greece. Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, senior Deputy Secretary General of MQI, was also present among the distinguished guests.
On May 24, 2010, Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League and MSM (Sisters) jointly organized ‘Namoos-e-Risalat (saw) Convention’ in its central secretariat. Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate, central Nazima of Women League, was among the distinguished guests on the occasion. A large number of students from Minhaj College for Women, different women universities and educational universities of Lahore attended the programme.
The central body of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League designed a visit plan to different towns and areas of Lahore. The purpose of the visit was to review the performance of local chapters of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League in Lahore and listen to the problems of workers and guide them for better output through increased interaction and frequent meetings.
Irfan-ul-Quran Course was inaugurated in Samaryal, at Four Star Marriage Hall on May, 25, 2010. Central Naib Nazima Women League Miss Sajida Sadiq was invited to preside over. In addition to 2oo students of Irfan-ul-Quran Course, a large number of ladies representing influential and elite class of society participated in the ceremony.
Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the only way to defeat terrorists and extremists is through collaboration. He also said that there is a manifest difference between Muslims and Khwarjis and that people who commit suicide bombing are out of the orbit of Islam. After that, he referred to Dr. Tahir- ul-Qadri’s saying that “Terrorists are not the heroes of the Ummah but the heroes of the hell fire, and they are leading towards hell fire”.
Nazim-e-Ala of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi and senior naib Nazim Sajid Mahmood Bhatti visited two divisions i.e. Sukkur and Larkana of Sindh on May 24, 2010. The two-day visit of Nazim-e-Ala began on May 24, whereas Sajid Mahmood Bhatti had reached Sukkur a day earlier to look after the preparations of the visit. The office holders and workers of MQI in Sukkur, Rohri and other areas extended a warm welcome to the respected guests on their arrival.

Khana-e-Farhang Iran Lahore held a seminar on 23rd May, 2010 on the eve of the anniversary of Sayyida-e-Kainat Fatima-tu-Zahra (may Allah be well pleased with her). Eminent woman scholars, intellectuals and elite personalities had been invited to speak to the seminar. Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate, Secretary General Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League was invited as the guest of honour to address the seminar.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International Pakpattan Sharif brought out a protest rally on May 23, 2010 to denounce the blasphemous sketches posted on the website, Facebook. District Amir of MQI, Al-Haaj Rana Manzoor Ali, led the rally which was attended by a large number of people who belonged to different walks of life and religious parties.
A leading Pakistani pop star Salman Ahmed of Junoon group visited the Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK London centre to attend a Sufi Zhikr gathering that attracted hundreds of young British Muslims on the evening of Saturday 22 May 2010. In his brief address Salman praised the recent "fatwa on terrorism" by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri against extremism and said that Islam was a religion of peace that promotes brotherhood and harmony.
The inaugural ceremony of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's book "Terrorism and Fitna-e-Khawarij" was held in a local hotel under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Lahore chapter. Paying tribute to the scholarly services of Shaykh-ul-Islam, the speakers said that he has infused confidence among the Pakistani nation by giving historic Fatwa (religious decree) against terrorism.
Call for condemning and removing the blasphemous page on social network website
The extremist malicious elements have most condemnably launched a page on the social network website for the world’s most sacrilegious event to draw sketches of our beloved Messenger Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him). Their heinous designs intend to provoke the sentiments of billions of Muslims over the globe and force the world peace into the firestorm of outrageous protests and destructive demonstrations.

The Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League held a condolence reference in the Secretariat Conference Hall on May 17, 2010 for Mohtarma Aisha Hasnain Hashmi, who embraced ‘shahadat’ in a road accident on May 02, 2010. Mohtaram Nazim-e-Aala presided over the reference. In addition to the family members of Aisha Hasnain Hashmi Shaheed, all the central leaders of MQI, staff members of various departments, Women League chapters from areas around Kamalia and the Kamalia chapter of Women League participated.
