Canada: Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri to address Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference
In a special statement marking the 41st foundation day of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, MQI founding-leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that MQI has attained many milestones in terms of its mission of service to humanity and religion in the short span of the last four decades. He said that MQI has, by the grace of God, established institutions for education and learning of the youth across the world that have benefitted hundreds of thousands of our young men and women, instilling confidence in them to promote the Islamic teachings of interfaith dialogue, harmony and peace.
The arrangements for the 38th International Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference have been completed. The mega event will take place at historic Minar-e-Pakistan on the intervening night of October18-19. More than fifty thousand families have been invited from Lahore alone. Thousands of people will come from across the country to express their love of their beloved Prophet (pbuh).
Addressing a Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Canada, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri, the grandson of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has said that Allah Almighty endows high ranks, superiority and greatness on his prophets. He said that there are four meanings of the word 'Nabi' and these four meanings represent the grace and higher station of the prophets. No doubt Allah bestowed these four attributes on every prophet but combined all of them in the person of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
Milad feasts, an annual feature of MQI's programs for the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, continue to take place at the central secretariat. Chairman Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri attended one such feast as a special guest. Naat khawan had the honour to recite Naat in the honour of our beloved Prophet (pbuh).
A special ceremony was held in the memory of former great leg spinner and national cricket hero, late Abdul Qadir, under the banner of Minhaj University Lahore. Internationally known cricketers and colleagues of Abdul Qadir paid rich tributes to him. Salman Qadir, son of Abdul Qadir and his daughter, granddaughter and the members of his family attended the ceremony.
A joint Milad gathering and feast was held at the central secretariat under the banner of College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences. COSIS students and teachers as well as the MQI leaders attended the gathering. The proceedings of the event started off with the recitation of the holy Quran followed by Naat sharif. These gatherings will continue to take place until the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Addressing the ceremony, Director Training Prof. Mohibullah Azhar said that Uswa-e-Rasool (pbuh) teaches us to forget our mutual differences and promote brotherhood in a spirit of love.
Preparation for International Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference underway
Like the practice of the past years, the Milad feasts and Milad gatherings are taking place at the central secretariat, starting with the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal until the 12th. Renowned religious scholar and director Minhaj Education Society, Ali Waqar Qadri spoke on the subject of 'love of the Holy Prophet (pbuh)'. In his speech, he said that love of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) is the basis as well as the essence of our faith. He recalled Hadith in which the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said: none of you cannot become a believer unless he (pbuh) becomes dearer to them than their own children, and parents.
President Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that one of the chief attributes of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) is his excellent conduct. The whole of the Holy Quran was described as the representation of his excellent conduct. So much so that even the worst of his enemies were convinced about his excellence of morality and conduct. He said that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) had a balanced personality in terms of speaking, sleeping, waking up, attending to the matters of day-to-day life and the performance of worship.
The inauguration of the new MQII Publications building was held on 10th October in Baroda, Gujarat under the supervision of Minhaj Publications Director Saiyed Nad e Ali and Minhaj Publications team. The new MQII Publications building has 2 floors with an area of around 2000 sq. ft and consists of a digital library, sales department, research department, translation and transliteration department, rooms for office staff, collection of 'tabarrukat and Langarkhana' for serving the poor. There are 20 full time staff members working in this center.
As per tradition, with the beginning of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, all buildings associated with MQI have been illumined with decorative lights. It includes the central secretariat, Gosha-e-Durood, Shaykh-ul-Islam Mosque, College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences, Minhaj College for Women, other related institutions and adjoining streets have been decorated with bulbs and lights. Minhaj-ul-Quran International celebrates the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal in general and the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal in particular in the best possible manner.
With the beginning of the holy month of Rabi ul Awwal, various celebratory activities are taking place at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) in Lahore. The month is being celebrated with religious fervor and zeal. Milad feasts are being arranged this year as well as the practice of the previous years.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated Muslims around the globe on the advent of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. In his felicitation message on the occasion, he said that the onset of the blessed month brings with it a message of peace, happiness, and tranquility. He said that our individual happiness was no match to the collective happiness symbolized by the holy month.
Secretary International Milad Conference Jawwad Hamid has said that the 38th International Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference will be held at the historic Minar-e-Pakistan during the intervening night of the 11th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal. He said that 50 administrative committees have been set up that have already started the preparation for the mega event. He said that hundreds of men and women from across the country will attend the Conference to express their love and reverence for their beloved Prophet (pbuh). He said that the highlight of the Conference is the keynote address by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Addressing the training session attended by senior students of COSIS, President Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that it is our mission to protect the students from the scourges of extremism, terrorism and drugs and make them a patriotic and productive citizens of this country. He said that cleanliness, mental concentration, control of one's ill-commanding self and human attributes of moderation and tolerance are the guarantee of our success in this world.

A meeting of the central Majlis-e-Shura was held here with Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in the chair. President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and the members of Shura attended the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that MQI has been making efforts to promote peace and tolerance in society, unity of Ummah, and the revival of Islamic teachings under the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for the past forty years.
A special monthly Minhaj-ul-Quran magazine was published on the occasion of the 41st foundation of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. This month's publication is significant in the sense that it has a special opinion piece by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in which he has narrated the story of the founding and rise of MQI. He has also thrown light on the ideological foundation of MQI in great detail in his essay.
Speaking exclusively to Anadolu Agency, the head of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, said: “The structure, beauty, and calmness of Mevlana Rumi’s tomb has always fascinated me. I feel spiritually affiliated with him. My father, Dr. Farid-ud-Din Qadri, also ardently loved Mevlana, and especially in the last years of his life, he would read (Rumi’s poem) Masnavi fervently.”
