President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that MQI is taking excellent steps for the provision of quality sports and other services for the orphan children living in the Aghosh Complex. He said that these services are in addition to the educational and lodging facilities. He said that top-of-the-line facilities are available in Aghosh Orphan Care Homes that are operating in Lahore, Karachi, and Sialkot.
Addressing the "Ittihad-e-Ummat & Shaykh-ul-Islam Conference" held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that MQI rendered great services in the fields of research and scholarship for the elimination of extremism. We have always made efforts to forge unity within different schools of thought in light of the teachings of the Holy Quran.

MQI founding-leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri congratulated the participants on their participation. In his talk, he said that those who remained part of the pious act of decoration and reconstruction of the Mosque (Jamy Shaykh ul Islam) deserve to be congratulated. He said that the Mosque was originally inaugurated by Huzoor Qudwat-ul-Awliya’ Sayyiduna Tahir Ala-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani 33 years ago, adding that it is after 33 years that it has been expanded, redesigned, and decorated.

The 70th birthday of MQI founding-leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was celebrated around the world including in Pakistan on February 19 with traditional zeal and zest. The central prayer ceremony, which was the highlight of the day's events, was held at the central secretariat. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri joined the ceremony through a video link and spoke to the participants. He said that one of the objectives of MQI is to strengthen people's relationship with the Holy Quran.

I often ponder and marvel over why I have been given the opportunity to spend timeless moments in his company.
