Services of Sayyid Ahmad Zafar Gillani to be remembered for long time: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Paying rich tributes to services of late Sayyid Ahmad Zafar al-Qadri, al-Gillani who breathed his last a few days ago in Iraq, PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that educational and spiritual services of late Sayyid Ahmad Zafar al-Qadri will be remembered for a very long time. He said that the Pir sahib was a scion of the revered family of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) and his family played a leading role in ridding Iraq of the British imperialism. He said that his grandfather Sayyid Abdur Rehman Zahreer-ud-Din and father Sayyid Mahmood Ihtesam-ud-Din remained Prime Ministers of Iraq, adding that they were great intellectuals, scholars and spiritualists of their times.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing a condolence reference on the death of Sayyid Ahmad Zafar al-Qadri, al-Gillani, Sajjada Nasheen of shrine of Ghous-ul-Azam (Iraq). He said that late Ahmad Zafar al-Gillani served as Iraq’s ambassador to Pakistan in the decade of 1970s and political, spiritual, educational, diplomatic and social services rendered by him were worthy of appreciation.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Hammad Mustafa, Sayyid Lakht-e-Hussain, Pir Sharif, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, GM Malik, Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, Malik Shameem and others were also present on the occasion.
