Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri addresses OIC conference on the role of education in prevention of terrorism and extremism
Addressing the concluding session of the OIC in Riyadh earlier today, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the head of MQI, has said that conservatism leads to extremism which then generates terrorism. He said that this human tragedy does not take place overnight. Rather it has dynamic variables, stating that purposeful educational system is of fundamental importance in fighting this scourge in a comprehensive manner.

Talking to media persons in Riyadh, MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he has come to Saudi Arabia to attend the OIC meeting on the invitation of the Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) where he will deliver his speech. He said that terrorism and extremism are sore points for the Muslim world and the fact that the OIC is taking up these issues for collective deliberation augurs well.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is leaving for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, today to attend the OIC meeting. He will deliver a speech on counter-terrorism and present recommendations for the eradication of extremism. The OIC has extended a special invitation to Dr Qadri to participate in its meeting. A special session has been arranged for his speech as well as questions and answers.

MQI leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Allah Almighty gave the power of miracles to His Prophets for the authenticity of their claims. He said that miracles are a manifestation of Allah’s absolute power. He said that the journey of ascension undertaken by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is the climactic point of all miracles. He said that it is a miracle that initiated the process of opening the closed doors of the universe.

Minhaj-ul-Quran Community Center had the honor of organizing the very blessed program in the commemoration of Mi’raj al-Nabi ﷺ the Heavenly Ascension of the Holy Prophet ﷺ on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Jame’ Hasan al-Basri. An impressive number of people including men, women, and children attended the program in the evening of a weekday.
A Quran Conference was held on March 31 under the banner of MQI Layyah to mark the inauguration of the Quranic Encyclopedia. MQI Supreme Council Chairman Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri attended the ceremony. Addressing the Conference, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the publication of over 550 works authored by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is a feat of its own kind. He said that if we place all these books on one side and the Quranic Encyclopedia on the other, the scale will be tilted heavily in favor of the Encyclopedia.
Minhaj Youth League , Kutch team under the supervision of MQII organized Quranic encyclopedia presentation on 31st March at Town Hall Bhuj, Kutch. The event started with the recitation of Holy Qur'an and praise of Almighty Allah and His Beloved Prophet (peace be upon him).Saiyed Anwarshah anchored the event in his unique style quoting verses about the vastness of knowledge hidden in the Holy Qur'an and cited poetry of Allama Iqbal which mention that the success of Ummah lies in studying the Holy Qur'an with understanding.
Former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has said that the whole world acknowledges the scholarly services of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He paid his rich tributes to the MQI patron-in-chief on compiling the Quranic Encyclopedia. He said that the services rendered by his family in the field of education are manifest from Alamdar College and Nishtar Medical College. He said that his relationship with Dr Qadri is that of knowledge and devotion.

‘Azmat-e-Quran’ Conference was held in Chishtian (Bahawalnagar) as part of the launch of the Quranic Encyclopedia on the 28th of March 2019. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was a special guest on the occasion who delivered his keynote speech to the audience. In addition to the MQI workers, a large number of citizens and people belonging to various walks of life attended the Conference. The local notables paid tributes to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for compiling the Encyclopedia.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that it is the first impartial JIT formed in the wake of Model Town tragedy that questioned former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, visited the crime scene and conducted the forensic tests of the bullets and arms used during the police brutality. He said that the last two JIT did not even record the statement of the injured. He said that we are committed to waging this struggle for justice and would continue to do so in the future as well.
MQI Walsall was twinned with the Methodist circuit two years ago. Since then their interfaith work has been going from strength to strength. As a result, workers from Walsall were invited to Lambeth Palace along with workers from the Methodist church.
