Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that fasting is that form of worship whose reward Allah Almighty has promised Himself. He said that fasting imparts a lesson of patience, patience that endows on man spiritual and moral excellence. He said that rewards of worship done during the sacred moments in the holy month of Ramazan increase manifold, so much so that blessings bestowed on the believers cannot be counted.
A group of Quran reciters from Iran electrified the atmosphere in the Itikaf City yesterday when they had the honour of reciting the Holy Quran in their melodious and sweet voices before the thousands of the people. They got generous applaud from the audience. Qari Amin Raheemi, Qari Hassan Mubaraki, Qari Muhammad Raza Rehmani, and Qari Sadiq Bahishti took part in the Quran recitation ceremony.
A heart felt candlelit vigil was held and a minute’s silence observed. The silence-filled atmosphere reflected the powerful expression of sadness at the senseless death of innocent people. The diverse multicultural and interfaith community of Newham stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity alongside the Rt.Hon Stephen Timms (MP for East and Shadow Work and Pensions Minister), Chief Inspector Shabnum Chaudhri (Newham Police) and Cllr Paul Sathianesan (East Ham – representing the Mayor of Newham) and many other participants of all ages.

A weekly Halqa-e-Ramadhan was held on the 10th of July 2015 at Minhaj -ul-Quran Centre, Carr Road, Nelson. The programme commenced with a melodious recitation of Darood Sharif in congregation to bestow blessing on our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Darood Sharif was followed by the recitation of a few verses from Qaseedah Burdah Sharif in congregation.

Mrs. Farah Naz, President of Minhaj Women League and the head of Itikaf committee for women, has said that thousands of women from across Pakistan as well as abroad have joined the Itikaf City zealously and with religious fervor because of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s presence this year. She said that we invite distinguished ladies belonging to all walks of life including politics, media, civil society and human rights organizations to visit Itikaf City and observe the proceedings here.
Addressing the thousands of residents of Itikaf City 2015 on the occasion of distribution of gold medals among the injured and prisoners during the revolution march, PAT chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that we should delete three words namely ‘why, when & how’ from our minds and hearts because these three words create doubts. He said that our struggle is characterized by compliance with the Constitution, law, and teachings of the holy Quran and Sunna.
All is set for Minhaj-ul-Quran International’s Itikaf City to be established from Wednesday onwards in Jamia al-Minhaj, Township, Lahore. Thousands of men and women from across the country will become the residents of Itikaf City from the 20th of Ramadan till sighting of moon in the company of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Thousands of people joined Itikaf City of Minhaj-ul-Quran International this evening at Jamia al-Minhaj in the company of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Thus the 24th Itikaf City of the Muslim world, the second largest gathering after the one held at the Two Holy Mosques, got underway in Township area of Lahore. The people from Gilgit-Baltistan, South Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan started arriving a day earlier to take part in the Itikaf City.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing thousands of the residents of Itikaf City yesterday. It is pertinent to mention that more than 16,000 residents of Itikaf City including women listened to the keynote speech of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri separately. Stringent security measures have been put in place in and around the Itikaf City where more than 1000 youths of Mustafvi Students Movement and Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League are doing the security duties.

On the 7th of July 2015, MWL Bradford hosted the MWF charity appeal ‘Iftar with the orphans’ at the Royal Taj, Bradford, with a turnout of over 50 people. Each member of MWL Bradford played an active role on the night to ensure a meaningful event. The event commenced with a brief introduction by Brother Adnan Sohail Project's Manager MWF. He explained the programme for the night.

Arrangements complete for Itikaf 2015
Birmingham Central Mosque organised a multi-faith Iftar dinner to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the July 7th London bombings and to remember the Srebrenica Genocide on 5th July 2015. Honourable guests attending the event were Ahmed Nawaz, President of Minhaj ul Quran Midlands, Andrew Mitchell MP of Sutton Coldfield, Rt Rev Bishop David Urquhart, Rabbi Margret Jacobi and Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal, Chairperson Central Mosque.
Minhaj Women League (North Zone) held a family Charity Iftar Meal at the Pakistan Muslim Centre, Sheffield on the 5th of July. The aim of the fundraiser was to create awareness of the work of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) and to raise funds for the 'Water for All' and 'Aghosh Orphan Care Home' projects amongst 150 guests. Brother Abdul Kabeer was the stage secretary for the night and he opened the event by inviting Brother Yasser to commence the event with eloquent recitation of The Glorious Qur'an.

On the 4 July 2015 the Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League of Alum Rock Birmingham held its monthly programme in the Minhaj-ul-Quran Birmingham on Naseby Road with the blessing of Allah (SWT) and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Tilawat was done by young Sister Nafeesa Bint Wajid followed by Naats by Sister Ummi Habiba Majid, Sister Shaheen Akhter MWL (Media Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham) and Sister Abida Mughal MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham).
