Shaykh-ul-Islam reached Lahore to attend Itikaf being held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in Township Lahore. He was given a warm welcome upon his arrival at the Allama Iqbal International Airport. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Supreme Council, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Federal Council, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Secretary General of MQI, other leaders of MQI’s various forums and a large number of workers received their leader at the airport.

Over the weekend of 26th to 28th July 2013, Muslim Youth League organised its fourth consecutive Spiritual Retreat, this time at Minhaj-ul-Quran International London and was attended by over 45 youth from all over London.
Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM), student wing of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, held a protest demonstration against the desecration of shrines of Sayyida Zaynab (RA) and Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed (RA) in Liberty Chowk, Lahore today. The participating students, who belonged to different colleges and universities of Lahore, were carrying placards and banners with anti-desecration slogans written on them.
ISLAMABAD, July 24: A large number of women of federal capital belonging to all walks of life took to the street at Karachi Company to protest against the attack on the shrines of Sayyida Hazrat Bibi Zaynab (R.A) and Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed (R.A) in Syria. The demonstration was organized by Minahj-ul-Quran Women League (MWL) Islamabad chapter. The women were holding placards and banners, condemning the sacrilegious acts in the strongest possible words.

Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League organized a peaceful demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club today to protest the attack on the shrine of Sayyida Bibi Zaynab (RA). The demonstration was attended by hundreds of women who were carrying placards and banners with anti-attack slogans written on them. The protesters demanded of the United Nations, OIC and the Syrian government to take immediate notice of attacks on holy personages and bring the perpetrators of such heinous crimes to book.
On Monday (22nd July 2013), Jamia Masjid Minhaj ul Quran (Nelson) held its first ever Halaqa-e-Ramadan. The Halaqa was part of a spiritual training course which lasted for five days and was hosted by Sister Naushaza Fiaz and Sister Tahira Basharat.
MWL’s Conference pays tribute to Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra (RA)
On the 19th July (10th Ramadan), MYL Norway invited brothers and sisters to yearly Iftar dinner at the local Minhaj-ul-Quran centre in Oslo. The theme of this event was “Repentance – A way to Allah”. Nearly 150 people, brothers and sisters, attended this dinner, where Allama Nasir Ali Awan was the main speaker, along with one brother and one sister from MYL Norway

The Muslim Youth League UK–Sisters held their first combined Halaqa-e-Durood and Dhikr Mehfil in Bradford on 14th July 2013, marking the beginning of the gatherings due to continue on a weekly basis. The Dhikr gatherings were open to all and commenced in the early days of Ramadan in an attempt to establish a culture of spirituality within the youth. The turnout was brilliant as over 25 sisters attended the first gathering.

ISLAMABAD, July 13: Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (MWL) Islamabad on Saturday distributed ‘Ramadan ration packs’ among poor widows and needy families of different localities of Capital. Food packets worth Rs. 1400 each, comprising 10 kg flour, 2 kg rice, one kg sugar, one litre oil, one kg dates, noodle packets, ‘Rooh Afza’ syrup besides pulses were supplied to over 300 underprivileged families during a ceremony here at community centre, sector G-9/2.
Allama Yasir Naseem Naqshbandi delivered his talk on the topic of Ramadan and purgation of self. He said that anti-Islam forces were bent on attacking the holy personages and symbols. He said that they were creating an environment in which evil and vices held sway while virtues became extinct. He said that the Muslims of today were confronted with myriad challenges whereby materialism was order of the day while spiritual values were on the decline.
On Friday 12th July (3rd of Ramadhan) MQI Ashton-Under-Lyne (UK) arranged a programme to observe the annual ‘Urs’ of Sayyidah-e-Kainaat Hadrat Fatima-az-Zahra (AS) at the Ashton Central Mosque (ACM).
Allama Fayyaz Bashir Qadri, the keynote speaker on the occasion, chose the subject of purpose of raising Prophets. He said that Allah Almighty sent Prophets to impart a message of Oneness of God and servitude to humanity. He said that one could not achieve perfection in submission to and servitude of Allah Almighty unless one successfully endeavored to eliminate injustice, oppression and a system of status quo.
