The Muslim Youth League Sisters UK held their first residential Spiritual Retreat named ‘Awakening the Soul’ under the instructions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, on Friday, 9th November 2012 until Sunday 11th November 2012.
On the 11th of November, MQI Nelson arranged a meeting with all local members of Minhaj-ul-Quran International to inform them of situation of their native country. Members from Nelson, Burnley, Blackburn and A ccrington, attended the event where separate arrangements were made for female participants
From 30th of October to 14 November, Ms Sajida Sadiq, central Deputy Secretary General of MWL and Ms Nabila Yousaf, media coordinator of MWL, undertook 15-day visit of various Tehsils and cities District Faisalabad, Jaranwala and Nankana Sahib. The places both women leaders visited included Jaranwala, khuranwala, Bichanian, Tandliawala, Mamoon Kanjan, Sumandri, Syedwala, Sangla Hill, Kamalia, Shorkoat, Athara Hazari, Gojra, Lalyian, Mandi Shah Javena, and Rajana. They held meetings with the workers of MWL there, set up local chapters and addressed workers conventions.
On 11th November, students from the ‘Pearls of Knowledge’ weekend classes taught by Shaykh Hafiz Abdul Saeed organised an eid party. Held at Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson hosted by sister Iram and sister Asima. The sisters engaged themselves into a successful eid party with recitation of the holy Qur’an, singing praises of our beloved Rasool (S.A.W.) and brief talks both in Urdu and English.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Iqbal’s Pakistan is under serious threats both ideologically as well as territorially. He said that the country, which came into being on the basis of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal’s thought, had been drifting from his message.

Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Federal Council and younger son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has completed his PhD from renowned Australian University, Victoria University Melbourne. He wrote his PhD thesis in English on the subject of “An Analysis of Trade Flows among Muslim Countries and Potential for Free Trade Area.” Renowned Australian Economist Dr P.J. Gunawardana was the supervisor of Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri’s PhD thesis.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri arrived in Cairo (Egypt) on the 19th October. This visit is part of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s lectures series and his efforts for propagation of Islamic message of peace, interfaith harmony and dialogue.
Minhaj Internet Bureau arranged a ceremony on October 25 at central secretariat of MQI to acknowledge the services of volunteers on reaching the number of one hundred thousand fans on the official facebook page of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri (www.facebook.com/TahirulQadri). Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Secretary General of MQI, presided over the ceremony, whereas Dr Muhammad Munnam Tahir, Engr. Shumail Mohi-ud-Din, Dr Muhammad Hateem and Hassan Ali were the guests of honour on the occasion.
On October 22, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered a lecture to students of Al-Azhar University. A large number of students including representatives of WAAG attended the lecture in large numbers. In his speech, Al-Azhar University was an ancient seat of learning and playing its role in propagating the Islamic message of peace, interfaith dialogue, moderation and tolerance.

SC’s verdict vindication of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s stance on 1990 elections: PAT
Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, central President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), has said that the Supreme Court’s verdict in the Asghar Khan case is a vindication of the stance Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Chairman of PAT, took about 22 years ago. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri pointed out glaring irregularities and rigging in the 1990 elections and this fact has now been proven in the highest court of the land.
Speaking to a large audience which consisted of mainly learned scholars, teachers, heads of departments including Vice Chancellor of Grand Al Azhar University, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said ”Without believing in the authority of all Hadith books (especially Sihah Sitta), we cannot understand, reject or challenge the authenticity of Hadith Books other than Bukhari and Muslims.
