Muslim Youth League Sisters (Halifax) held a special Hajj and Eid session at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Centre, Halifax on Sunday 21st October 2012. The aim of the event was to talk about the pilgrimage of Hajj and discuss the background as to why we are obligated to perform it and to remember the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon him).
Speaking on the occasion, President of MSM Tajamal Hussain Inqalabi said that students play a vital role in any movement. He said that we have to follow our ancestors. He said real change was not possible by this existing electoral system. If the current electoral system, which is called a democratic, persists, then even after 100 years, no real change can come about in the system.
A ceremony of collective marriages took place under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (Syedwala) on August 22, 2012 in which five couples tied the knot. Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, Director of MWF, presided over the ceremony, while Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, senior Deputy Secretary General of MQI, was the guest of honour. In addition to Dr Mohib-un-Nabi Tahir, Malik Haq Nawaz Awan, Engr. Muhammad Rafique Najam, and a local MPA, a large number of notables and human rights activists attended the ceremony.

Minhaj TV: 'Change' New Program at Corrupt Political Electoral System
The 32nd foundation day of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was celebrated across the world in over 100 countries with traditional fervor. Seminars and workshops were held in six continents to mark the day to pay glowing tributes to the untiring struggle of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri that spans over three decades. The foundation day ceremonies were attended by office holders, associates and workers of MQI in large numbers. Cakes were cut and special prayers were made for good health and long life of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Shaykh-ul-Islam has said that change would not come about by becoming part of corrupt and elitist system but by clashing against it. He said that the present electoral system was the biggest enemy of the people and the country. He said that the ruling elite regarded the people as their slave and their psychology was like that of Pharaohs of Egypt. He declared to return to Pakistan on December 23 this year.

Life has become so difficult for the common man that it is virtually next to impossible for him to make his both ends meet. In his daily struggle to keep his body and soul together, it is well beyond him to marry off his daughters and sisters, given the massive expenditures involved. It has been seen in most of the cases that the girls grow old due to their parents’ inability to finance their marriages.
Speaking on the occasion, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Islamabad chapter Razia Naveed condemned the attack on Malala and said the attackers were not Muslims but were in fact the agents of anti-Islam forces. “Islam abhors terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It does not allow torture of girl children socially, physically, mentally and economically,” she said.
Chief guest Tajamul Hussain Inqalabi, central President of MSM, said in his speech that we came here with the message of peace and Knowledge. He said that the students needed to pay attention to their studies and it must be their first priority. He said that extensive measures need to be adopted to maintain peace in the educational institutions and opportunities are to be provided to all the students.
The workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League held a demonstration to protest against brutal attack on National Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and her fellow students. They paid glowing tribute to the services of Malala, adding that she is a role model for the children of Pakistan.
Umeed-e-Nao Students Convention (MSM)
Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM), the student wing of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, celebrated its foundation day with traditional fervor on the 6th of October 2012. The central ceremony was held in the central secretariat of MQI under the topic of ‘Umeed-e-Nou Talba Convention’. A large number of students from across Lahore and other areas attended the Convention along with officer holders of MSM. The programme was held under the auspicious of MSM Lahore.

It has been 8 years since Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri last visited Denmark and his followers and students have been working hard to organise a tour which would not only benefit the Muslim community in Denmark but also help build bridges between different faiths and youth from various ethnic backgrounds and help de-radicalise some elements of the youth.
