It has been a standard practice of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League that it has always been celebrating the festive occasions of Eid and other religious festivals along with orphan, poor and helpless children. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha this year too, MWL arranged a number of sports for the children of Aagosh, Orphan Care Home, a giant welfare project of Minhaj Welfare Foundation having complete state of the art residential and educational facilities for the poor and helpless children.

An organizational workshop entitled “Introductory Workshop” was arranged by MSM (Sisters) on Saturday, 15th October 2011. The aim was to introduce Mustafavi Students Movement (Sisters), its objectives, and the activities among different categories of female students in Lahore. The purpose was also to maintain a proper organizational structure of MSM (Sisters) in Lahore. About 90 students from different educational institutions of Lahore participated.
The escalating cost of living, inflation, and fast aggravating poverty has made it well nigh impossible for the less privileged sections of society to marry off their daughters. Tehreek-i-Insaaf needs to beware of present electoral system: Minhaj-ul-Quran International
To condole the sad demise of Begum Nusrat Bhutto, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran (TMQ) and Pakistan AwamiTehreek (PAT) led by Mr. G.M. Malik Deputy Secretary General TMQ, called on Syed AsifHashmi, Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board, and expressed their sorrow and grief over this irreparable loss of PPP workers and leadership.
Mustafvi Students Movement (Lyari chapter, Karachi) organized a unique event named “One Day Energizing Workshop on Self-Improvement & Exploration Program”. This workshop was held on October 30, 2011 at a local hall in the Lyari region for facilitating local students, young graduates and teachers.
National Council of Interfaith, Lahore Cantonment, organized a peace conference on October 27, 2011 to mark the International Peace Day. Representatives of various faiths and religions participated in the event organized by Father Francis Nadim. G.M. Malik, Deputy Secretary General, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director of MQI’s Interfaith Relations Directorate and Hafiz Ghulam Farid, Deputy Director of Interfaith Relations represented Minhaj-ul-Quran International.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) UK & Europe opened its new head office in London. Shaykh-ul-Islam paid a short visit to the new head office prior to his departure for Hajj 2011. MWF UK & EU has been rapidly expanding its welfare operations and progressing over the past few years. The new head office is to aid the expansion and development of MWF to ensure that it progresses and develops towards the vision set by its founder, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
H.E. Ross Hyness appreciated the result-oriented services of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for the cause of global peace, interfaith harmony, elimination of terrorism, extremism, attitudes of intolerance and immoderation. He said that the world community held his contributions in high esteem. The struggle of MQI for the establishment of global peace would surely prove to be of historic significance, he added.

The 31st foundation day of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was celebrated across the world in over 100 countries with traditional fervor. Seminars and workshops were held in six continents to mark the day to pay glowing tributes to the untiring struggle of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri that spans over three decades. The foundation day ceremonies were attended by office holders, associates and workers of MQI in large numbers. Cakes were cut and special prayers were made for good health and long life of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Blame game and issuing edicts of disbelief against others is a common practice of the mischief-monger Ulama in our country. Sometimes, it develops into riots, tribulations, vandalism and bloodshed. The unprecedented earthquake of October 8, 2005 reversed the journey of development spread over six decades within a few seconds. Though six years have gone by since the earthquake on this day swept through Pakistan and jolted the entire northern region, yet the images of destruction and havoc caused by it still remain fresh in our minds.
