International trade rules and regulations and different business models are under the process of evolution. Societies with different cultural and civilisational backgrounds are out in the run for earning maximum profits by designing new business rules every now and then. This explains the permeation of materialistic forces in societies. Islam is the only religion whose trade laws, which were formulated some l400 years ago, cannot be altered. These principles would continue to guide man till the Day of Judgement.
Islam is a religion of peace, which has nothing to do with terrorism or extremism. No one whether an individual or a group can be allowed in an Islamic state to initiate armed struggle against the Muslims and raise the banner of revolt against an Islamic state.

The meeting of Majlis-e-Shura (Consultative Council) of Minhaj-ul-Quran International France was held with Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed in the chair. Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, the central Secretary General of MQI, was the guest of honour in the meeting, whereas Amir of MQI European Union and Director MQI Norway, Allama Hassan Mir Qadri, also attended the meeting on special invitation.
Gender inequality is a common accusation made against Islam and a disparity in educational opportunities between men and women in many Muslim countries is often cited as a primary example of this. Education is seen as one of the pivotal factors in determining the economic, social and political advancement of a society and if, those making up over fifty percent of that society, are denied such a basic fundamental right then needless to say human rights activists will seek to find reasons for this disparity.
The 20th foundation day of Pakistan Awami Tehreek was celebrated with traditional fervour across the world on May 25, 2009. Central leaders and workers of PAT and MQI took part in the flag-hoisting ceremony in the central secretariat to start the foundation day celebrations. Earlier party members, workers and associates from across the globe made special prayers for security, solidarity of the country and progress of Pakistan Awami Tehreek. Central president of PAT, Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, hoisted PAT’s three-coloured flag along with national flag. The participants present on the occasion congratulated each other on the 20th foundation day of PAT.
‘Help Caravan’ of Minhaj Welfare Foundation start its journey
‘Help Caravan’ of dozens of trucks carrying relief goods for the affectees of Malakand Division under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation left from Regal Chowk, Lahore, May 23, 2009 (Saturday). Mr. Salman Taseer, Governor of Punjab, was the chief guest at the ceremony held for seeing off the Caravan.
Dozens of trucks carrying relief goods for the affectees of Malakand Division and Swat reached their final destination. ‘Help Caravan’ that consisted of 25 trucks started its journey on May 23, 2009 from the central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International under the leadership of acting Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz. Central leaders and staff of the secretariat saw off the Caravan with their prayers. Amir-e-Tehreek Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani led the prayer.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri condemns Peshwar bomb blasts
Minhaj Model School (English Medium) of Bahawalnagar has started functioning under the aegis of Minhaj Education Society. MD of Minhaj Education Society; Shahid Latif Qadri, inaugurated the school on May 22, 2009 in a ceremony organized by Ms Bushra Rabbani, chairperson of Minhaj Model School and renowned educationist of District Bahawalnagar.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International Lyari Town has set a relief camp for rehabilitation of internally displaced people (IDPs) of Malakand Division on Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s special briefing and message for the workers and MQI branches around the world in which he said that 1.5 million people have been forced to migrate to safer locations following military action against the militants.
In the light of instructions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the special fund collection campaign launched by Minhaj-ul-Quran International for the help of Internally Displaced Persons of Malakand Division continues with zeal and zest. All and sundry starting from central leadership to workers are participating in the campaign with keen interest.

Governor Punjab visits relief camp of Minhaj Welfare Foundation
The meeting of Majlis-e-Shura of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was held in the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on May 17, 2009 with Central Amir-e-Tehreek Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani in the chair. Hundreds of office bearers from across the country participated in the meeting. The representatives of local chapters of MQI presented their performance reports with respect to ongoing campaign for collection of donations for Swat IDPs.
The Iranian capital, Tehran, hosted an international book fair from May 6, 2009 to May 16, 2009, in which publishers and cultural consulates of embassies of more than 30 countries put up their stalls. National Book Foundation, Islamabad and Minhaj-ul-Quran International represented Pakistan in the book fair at official and private levels respectively.
