The important and central program of Sahibzada Hussan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri’s visit to Norway took place in Red Cross Hall on December 2, 2008. Since the topic was of immense interest to people and it was the first ever program of its kind in Norway, the zeal and zest of audience was quite noticeable. The team of the Minhaj Reconciliation Council, which had been busy for the successful conduct of the programme, was rolling out red carpet welcome for the incoming guests. The majority of audience composed of young men and women for the topic was such as concerned the youth.
The Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (MWL) is dynamically engaged in playing its role to serve humanity in all walks of life. It is toiling hard in welfare pursuits as well in collaboration with the Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) for last many years. Eid-ul-Adha is a special occasion when MWL does not forget the ailing humanity lying in hospitals and conducts visits to enquire welfare of the patients, distributes among them Food Packages, delivers to them Eid Mubarak and good wishes and special supplications of Saykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and the entire Minhaj Leadership.
An All-Pakistan Youth Seminar was held in Iwan-e-Iqbal Complex Lahore at 1000 hours on Sunday, the 30th November, 2008 to celebrate the 20th Foundation day of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League. This seminar was held under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League and Iqbal Academy Pakistan. The title of the seminar was a poetic line of Allama Muhammad Iqbal: Islam tera des he tu mustafvi he (Islam is your homeland and you belong to the Prophet).
By the grace of Almighty Allah swt and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad saw MWL's Dawah & Tarbiah group is working continuously for achieving its goals. One of its major projects is to spread durood o salaam circles in and around Oslo.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway organized Workers’ Convention on Saturday 29th of November 2008. Respected son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, President Supreme Council MQI Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was the guest of honour.
As the 3 previous years, Minhaj Women League Norway once again arranged a sewing course for women and young girls. Starting on Sunday 22.june, 5 hours a day once a week, 5 week. The course had a low price, mainly to cover the instructors pay, the rest was covered by MWL.

Oslo Local government gives an annual award “Oxlo Price” every year to a local organization of Oslo city in recognition of its efforts done for the welfare and well-being of the society. Local government of Oslo awarded such organization with an honorary certificate along with a cash prize of 50,000 NK for its encouragement to carry on his welfare activities for the betterment of society.
Minhaj Women League Norway successfully conducted their annual health seminar in Oslo 23 November, 2008. The programme started with the recitation of the Holy verses along with praise to Rasool Allah Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salim. Sister Shafqat Parveen told the participants about the importance to take care of our own health and that it is an Islamic duty to do so.
Mr. Zafar Iqbal Ch. (President Gulf Council), Mr. Yousaf Bakhtawar (Ex-Ameer MQI-Kuwait), Ch. Muhammad Naeem Javed (Joint Secretary MQI-Glasgow-Scotland) visits the central headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. This was the first visit of Mr. Naeem Javed to the central secretariat since he joined Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
Mr. Maqsood Shah (President MQI-Holland) Unwar Subadar Agathee (Mauritius) Abdool Sakeer Haulkhory (Mauritius) have paid their gracious visit the central headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. This is also a matter of immense pleasure that another branch of MQI has established in Mauritius.
Women in Pakistan continue to suffer innumerable atrocities, discrimination on the basis of gender and denial of their rights despite claims to improve their lot made by successive governments. All stakeholders should come together to form a consensus on the challenges posed to women and suggest measures to overcome them.
RENOWNED Muslim jurist and scholar Fadila al-Shaykh al-Sayyid `Ali bin `Abd al-Rahman al-Hashimi al-Hasani – senior advisor to the president of Dawlat al-Imara al-`Arabiyya al-Muhtahida (United Arab Emirates), accompanied by a small delegation visited the Minhaj-ul-Quran International centre in London, United Kingdom on Saturday 8th November 2008.
The residential weekend retreat began with recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Mubashir Anwar after which the recital of Qaseedah Burdah Shareef took place. One of the students of Farghana Institute then recited the spiritual Isnad from Sayyidina Qudwatul Awliya Shaykh Tahir Alauddin Al Gilani back to Sayyidina Ghawth ul Azam for Barakah and to strengthen the link with Sayyidina Ghawth ul Azam in our hearts. The first lecture of the retreat was on the biography of Sayyidina Ghawth ul Azam which was delivered by Shaykh Muhammad Ramadhan Qadri (Transcribed notes on this lecture are available on request from the institute) the first evening of the retreat was then concluded by a session of Dhikr and a Nasheed mehfil

Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League to hold demo for women rights
The annual Mehfil-e-Naat was held on the roof of Gosha-e-Durood in the central secretariat on November 20, 2008 under the banner of Bazm-e-Qadria (Minhaj University). Held in a beautiful venue lighted by electric bulbs, the proceedings of the programme got under way at 8 p.m
The purpose of launching Minhaj News is to curtail the information gap by giving updated news about various functions, events and activities held under the various forums of Minhaj-ul-Quran International through audio-visual mix. Minhaj News would give updated information after every 15 days.
Dr Farid Ahmad Piracha, the central leader of Jamat-e-Islami, held a meeting with Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Nazim-e-Ala and Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, naib Nazim-e-Ala at latter’s residence in Model Town. Amir-e-Punjab Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, G.M. Malik and Mian Zahid Islam were also present at the occasion. Leaders of both parties exchanged matters of mutual interest.
