MUL organized Result Announcement and Prize Distribution Ceremony at Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International at 10:00 AM on 23 rd of August, 2008. This function was honored by Food Minister of Punjab Government Mr. Malik Nadeem Kamran as Chief Guest and presided by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nazeer Romani.
Doara Sahih Muslim & Bukhari got under way on August 23, 2008 in the central mosque Ghamkole Shareef, Birmingham, under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. A large number of people including scholars from Pakistan, Bangladesh, France, Norway, Canada and Syria participated in the programme. The proceedings of the programme started off with recitation from the Holy Quran by Qari Zubair Qadri from Holland followed by recitation of Naat by Abdur Rehman Hamami and Syed Moaaz.
The third annual Daura of Hadith by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will be taking place again this year at the Ghamkol Shareef Mosque in Birmingham. This year it is titled Daura Sahih Bukhari and Muslim. In the three day event (23rd - 25th August, 2008), Shaykh-ul-Islam will be focussing on traditions relating to the subjects of Compilation of Hadith, al-Aqaid (Creed), Fiqh and Tasawwuf. Alongside traditions from Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim he will also carry out a comparative study from the other Sihah Sitta- Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasai and Ibn Maja.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri visits Oslo
The son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, and the Secretary General MQI, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi were given a red-carpet welcome upon their arrival in Barcelona on July 31, 2008. Later on, the Barcelona chapter of Minhaj-ul-Quran International hosted a dinner in the honour of the visiting guests and other leaders of Europe in the renowned Pakistani restaurant.

FOREMOST Islamic authority Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri joined members and community workers at the Minhaj-ul-Quran International centre on Tuesday 19th August, 2008. The workers convention recognised the achievements of centre workers and the community. It's Independence Day (Yaum-e-Azadi) of Pakistan. All the forums of Minhaj-ul-Quran International collectively arranged solidarity and prosperity March and Seminars to celebrate the 61st anniversary of independence. Thousands of men, women and children participated in these splendid programmes with great enthusiasm, national zeal and fervor.
On the 14th of August 2008, the Minhaj Youth Club Halifax organised a special program for Pakistan's Independence day. There was naats and darood shareef recited by the young boys and girls. The Children were told about what Pakistan's independence day is and that the person who had the dream of pakistan was Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the Person who made Pakistan was Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the person who is going to complete pakistan is Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Inshallah.

MQI organization Austria is struggling at International level to promote the cause of human rights, peace and brotherhood. The other day the Christian, Jews, Hindus, and the Muslims Communities Guntramasborf, Vienna launched the peace march to demonstrate love for peace & brotherhood under the banner of Guntramasborf Peace Platform. The newly converted Muslims brother Mr. Abdul Majeed Samoli represented the Muslim Community, specially invited MQI to participate.

As the whole nation is planning to celebrate Pakistan's 61st anniversary of Independency with vigor and enthusiasm, Minhaj-ul-Quran International has also made special arrangements to mark the independence in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Jehlum and Hari Pur. On August 9, 2008, a new website of Minhaj-ul-Quran Publications was launched, which contains the books and speeches of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for online purchase. In addition to the facility of credit card for online purchase, the Pakistani buyers have also been facilitated through provision of money order, bank account and VP parcel with the help of which the buyers can buy books and speeches at their homes.
It does not come as a surprise to those who attend events where Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is the special guest, the attendance is always mind blowing. As those present would have seen, the Ghamkol Shareef Jami Mosque in Birmingham was full to the brim for the main event of the Urs which was the lecture of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a world renowned figure, a scholar of the highest calibre and someone who the public flock to see at every opportunity.
Red Cross Delegation Visits Central Secretariat.
A three member delegation of Red Cross (Geneva) visited the Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on 7th of August, 2008. Principal Secretary to Shaykh-ul-Islam and Director Foreign Affairs G.M.Malik received the guests. The delegation comprised Faite Alexandre, Miriam Zampatti and Mr. Salah-ud-Din. Director Foreign Affairs conducted the delegation to a visit of different directorates and departments of MQI.
