The 4th day of sister's I'tikaaf 2007 was also a great inspiration. Alhamdulilah, this Itikaaf camp is a great training procedure in which thousands of women gain knowledge and inspiration for Islam. A combined schedule of training Halaqa jaat, Mehfil e Naat, Collective prayer and much more other things make this Itikaaf very successful.

Recently, whilst waiting at Holborn Tube Station, the train thundered in and commuters of all ages and walks of life,' from the business world with Armani suits and skirts, to less well attired students, from young children to the old, gathered on the platform edge.
In any presentation or discussion regarding Islam there is always the inevitable debate regarding the position of women in Islam, or rather the lack of their position. If a problem arises in any country regarding Muslim women, be it marital, social or fiscal the question endlessly asked is why does Islam tolerate such abuse? Why does Islam not condemn such foul action leading ultimately to the phrase, Muslim women are oppressed.
The issue of Bid`ah or innovations in religion is a hotly debated one in current times. It has been argued, sometimes with much vigour and polemic that practises in the religion of Islam that were not current at the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam or his companions and should be rejected and could even lead to kufr or disbelief.
She always remembered her grandmother's warning, My daughter, you must always pray on time, do not delay the prayer. Although her grandmother was aged 70 whenever she heard the adhan she shot up like an arrow from a bow and performed her salah. She, however, was always last to offer prayer and offered it hurriedly.
We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months.
Prophets and Messengers were sent to people in every age so that they might be granted true knowledge and tread the path of truth. Without contemplating Tawhid, man could not have known his true origins and state. Without contemplating Risalah, man could not have based his life and deeds on the correct way and without contemplating Akhirah, man could not have understood the repercussions of his life and the necessity to live it in the correct manner.
Alhumdulilah by the Grace and Blessings of Almighty Allah and the Wasila of His beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) I have had the opportunity to travel many times in the close company of my Shaykh and spiritual guide Qibla Quaidi Mutharram, Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Indeed I would term this not as an opportunity as such but a privilege and honour that no amount of wealth can replace.
As Ramadhan has ended I bid it farewell with sadness, like saying goodbye to good friend, hoping to meet again in a year. This Ramadhan has given me the opportunity to reflect more on the way I have practised Ramadhan in the past. One can always feel the arrival of the blessed month is near, there is something in the air, usually a sense of rush and chaos and for some of us the urge to focus and reform. The many days of shopping for Eid clothes, the endless food stock and trying to adjust to a new routine of those very early mornings is what Ramadhan has always meant for me in London. However my whole perception has changed after having spent one Ramadhan in Lahore, which was an experience of a lifetime.
It is reported by Hadrat Abdullah ibn Abass that the Holy Prophet (saw) had migrated to Madina and saw the Jews were fasting on 10th Muharram, yawme ashura.
To substantiate and elaborate the Qur’ anic verses mentioned in part one, the tafsir works of reliable and authentic leading aima will be discussed in part two of this article, with particular reference to Surah Yunus, 10:58.
This article will discus the legal and religious status of celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet (saw) in light of the Quran and Sunnah. This is not a comprehensive guide since it is impossible to include all evidences in one article.
"Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong).." (Q 2:183) Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you many learn piety and righteousness" (Q 2:183)
