To share the joys of Christmas and New Year with Christian brothers and sisters, MQI managed an exquisite program at the Central Secretariat. Renowned politicians and intellectuals from both the communities were invited to the program and was presided by Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri (Founder & Patron in Chief Minhaj ul Quran International & Chairman Muslim Christian Dialogue Forum.)
Scientific progress is turning our world into a global village. This development could be achieved through computer and internet, which have made our globe a ‘mustard-seed’. Today’s science has enabled the common man to observe the whole world on his palm like a mustard-seed. Material progress in the last century helped man to conquer the moon. On the other hand, the lovers of the Holy Prophet (SAW), like Shaykh Abdul Qadir Gilani, had achieved this status through spiritual progress. The celebrated Shaykh says:
Alhamdulillah, by the blessings of Allah (Subhana wa tala) and The Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihi wa sallim), the second Mujlis (spiritual gathering) for women was arranged on the 30th of December 2005. Approximately a hundred women gathered for this event. Sister Fatima Jamil began an inspiring night at ten in the evening by recitation of the Holy Quran. All sisters then rendered the Qasida Burda Sharif and heart-warming naats .
A function was held at The Minhaj University (TMU), Township Campus, to celebrate the charter being awarded to the Minhaj University by the Government of Punjab. The university received its charter last month when the Punjab Provincial Legislative Assembly passed The Minhaj University Lahore Act 2005.
The official opening ceremony of Gosha-e-Durood was held at the hands of Shaykh-ul-Islam on 3rd December 2005 after monthly spiritual programme, shab e bedari, at Jamy e Masjid Minhaj ul Quran. Gosha-e-Durood was launched at the headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on 1st December. The office of Shaykh-ul-Islam at the headquarters temporarily serving the purpose. The aim of the Gosha-e-Durood is to send blessings to the Holy Prophet SAW continually 24/7/365.
The funeral of Mr Makhdoom Tanveer Ahmad Quraishi Shaheed, member Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), took place on Minhaj Park, opposite the Central Secretariat in Lahore. The funeral prayer was lead by Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Thousands of people had travelled from all over Pakistan to attend the funeral of this great servant and leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI).
The delegation reached Mansehra today and setup another Minhaj Tent Village in Mansehra. Fatiha was also prayed for the victims of the earthquake especially at the home of the members and affiliates of Minhaj ul Quran. Many responsible of MQI had lost their loved ones but he ones who were left behind have been helping the teams of MWF with the relief efforts in their areas.
A delegation of Minhaj ul Quran international left from Lahore today to visit the devastated areas of the earthquake. The delegation was led by Mr.Hassan Mohai ud Din who is the eldest son of Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri and the President of the Supreme council of Minhaj ul Quran. The Chief Executive of Minhaj ul Quran Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi and President Pakistan Awami Tehreek Mr.Duryab Yousaf Hashmi were also accompanied by Mr.Hassan Mohai ud Din. Ameer of Punjab Mr. Ahmed Nawaz Anjum and President MWF Kashmir Mr. Sardar Mansoor also joined the delegation during the visit.

Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri said that in the past 6 days MWF have sent more than 153 trucks to different areas of the earthquake hit areas from its camps in more than 65 cities of Pakistan. The main base camp of MWF has been set up in Rawalpindi which is mainly controlling the distribution along with the collaboration of the Lahore base camp. Sub camps were also set up in Mansehra, Muzafarabad, Abotabad, Bagh, Rawalakot and Rawalakot. MWF have sent Aid for more than 25 million rupees. Medicines of 5.5 million rupees, 150 tons of eatable items which include beans, flour, rice, dates, biscuits, etc have been sent. More than 9500 coffins, 700 tents, 27000 bales of clothes, 17000 blankets and 12 teams of doctors with ambulances have been already sent in the past 5 days only. More than 2000 workers of Minhaj ul Quran are directly and almost 7000 are indirectly involved for the relief aid efforts for the victims of the earthquake.
Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri prayed the Namaz e Janazah along with thousands of people for the ones who passed away during the devastating earthquake last Saturday. Just after the Friday prayers Namaz e Janazah was read and special Dua was also done by Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation has set up an emergency Earthquake fund of 5 million rupees for the victims of the Earthquake and more than 5 million will be spent for the victims of the earth quake" Today this announcement was made by Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri. Shaykh ul Islam also expressed his grief and sorrow and insisted all the affiliates and members of Minhaj ul Quran to participate whole heartedly to help the fellow Muslim brothers and sisters at this state of national disaster.

Alhamdu Lillah the conference entitled Miraj-un-Nabi Conference, was a great success. The organizers are very happy with how it went. The mosque was full to its capacity with the public turnout beating the mosques records for conferences. Scholars from across the UK attended including many senior, famous and renowned scholars of the UK.
