Dr Hassan said that the public awareness campaign was aimed at making 20 million new members. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri sought the support of 20 million ‘Namazis’, not voters as the latter could shift their loyalty while the former stayed committed. He said that present version of democracy failed to resolve people’s problems as there was a major gulf between the collective interests of the masses and those of the ruling elite. He said that the vested interests of the powers that be could be protected and advanced at the cost of undermining the welfare of the people of Pakistan. He asked the people to support Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in his struggle to change the electoral system through democratic and peaceful means.

The programme ended on Dua for peace and welfare of the people.
