Muslims across Canada and the whole world celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr on May 24th, 2020. This Eid celebration was difficult for the Muslim Ummah. During this worldwide Covid-19 Pandemic, the mosques remain closed throughout Canada, due to which, no collective Eid prayers were held.
Due to the current situation of COVID-19, all religious activities are suspended in the local mosques of Canada. During the blessed month of Ramadan, Canada One TV telecast live 1 'Juzz' everyday after Isha prayer which was recited by Qari Shafiq Ahmad Naeemi Al-Azhari from Minhaj-ul-Quran Canada.
In a special online talk on the occasion of Layla al-Qadr, MQI founding leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Muslim Umma got a unique blessing of Layla al-Qadr through the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said Allah Almighty described the worship done during this special night superior to that of the thousands of months.

On Thursday, May 14th, 2020, MQI Canada organized the program to observe the death anniversary of Sayyiduna Ali (RA) which was streamed Live on YouTube. The Mehfil was commenced to mark the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA). Hazrat Ali was the fourth Caliph of Islam and the beloved cousin of our Holy Prophet (SAW) as well. Our very own Qari Shafiq Ahmad Naeemi Al Azhari started the program with Tilawat in his very beautiful and soothing voice. Master of the ceremony Hafiz Umair Waqas then read the translation so that everyone could benefit from this.

Ration has been distributed among more than 500 deserving families belonging to Mughalpura, Lal Pul, and Fatehgarh areas of Lahore under the banner of the Minhaj Welfare Foundation. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is going to start 40-day series of lectures on the topic of 'Halqa al-Tarbiyya' from the fifth of the holy month of Ramadan. These lectures will be based on Sahih al-Bukhari and Ihyaʾ ʿUlum al-Din, the book of Imam al-Gazali (RA). Certificates duly signed by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will be distributed among the participants of the 40-day lectures. Online registration is underway to join the series.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, while delivering a special talk on the death anniversary of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra’ (S.A.), said that Sayyida-e-Kainat was the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said, the Holy Prophet stated: "Fatima is a part of me, and he who makes her angry, makes me angry."

He said mutual differences, lack of unity and disagreements are among the reasons responsible for the downfall of Muslims around the world.
Founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered his special lecture on anger management as part of series of his talk on the subject of "Solitude and our Life." The lecture was delivered to the members of the Central Working Council through a video link. He said Allah has included those who control their anger among the pious and gave them the glad tidings of His nearness and paradise.
