Addressing a ‘Rahmatun-lil-Alameen Conference’, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, chairman of the Supreme Council, has said that extremism is the biggest enemy of Islam and the Muslims. He said that the poison of extremism is destroying our youth, stating that in order to eliminate this scourge, every child and youth of the Islamic world will have to forge unity in their ranks. He said that sectarianism and terrorism stem from extremism.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) to hold 15th collective ceremony of marriages on March 25, 2018
Minhaj Welfare Foundation arranged 15th Collective Marriages ceremony on March 25 in its central secretariat in which 23 couples including two Christian couples tied the knot. The Nikah of the Muslim couples was solemnized by the religious scholars belonging to Minhaj Ulama Council whereas the marriage rites of the Christian couples were performed according to their religious customs. The brides was gifted a household stuff of Rs. 175,000 per head whereas 1500 guests were entertained with marriage feast.

Honest leadership necessary for progress: Speakers at Pakistan Day ceremony
Addressing a ceremony at the central secretariat of MQI held in connection with the Pakistan Day, Senator Ch. Muhammad Sarwar, JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, Brig. (r) Muhammad Iqbal, Dr Mumtaz-ul-Hassan Barvi, renowned journalist Asad Kharal, Sohail Raza and Hafiz Ghulam Farid said that if political leadership is competent and honest, the countries remain on track. They said that an independent foreign policy will have to be adopted to create a goodwill in the comity of nations.
Attended by the students of different colleges, and universities of Pakistan, four-day declamation contests were held under the banner of Minhaj University Lahore. Director of Khana-e-Farhang of Iran, Aghai Ali Akbar Razai was the chief guest at the inaugural session.
Addressing the concluding session of the ‘Youth Parliament’ held under the banner of Minhaj Youth League, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, chairman of the MQI Supreme Council, has said that the youth are raw material for national defence, peace and prosperity. He said that this priceless treasure of human workforce is falling prey to corrupt political system. He said that the budgetary allocation for higher education and research in Pakistan happens to be the lowest in the entire South Asian region.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International attended and actively participated in the 62nd Commission on the Status of Women organized by the UN Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA. MQI has special consultative status with the UN since 2011 and is continuously invited to UN meetings and conferences around the world, including North America and Europe.
A conference on the subject of “Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) As a Role Model for the Business World” was held under the joint banner of Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Memorial Society and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) on March 15 in Lahore. Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI and Deputy Chairman of Board of Governors of Minhaj University, participated in the conference and delivered a speech there.
Addressing an Ambassador of Peace Conference in PP-157, Manawwan, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, senior PAT leader and Chairman of MQI Supreme Council, has said that no one can save a nation from going to dogs whose leaders promote lawlessness, violence and chaos. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri taught the lessons of peace, and love to the youth, focused on their character building, presented a counter-narrative to terrorism and militancy and authored a peace curriculum for the Muslims around the world.
On March 4, 2018, Minhaj-ul-Quran International KZN (South Africa) held a Mehfil of Halqa-e-Durood for the first time at the Grey Street Jumma Masjid Durban (the largest Mosque of Southern Africa) after Maghrib Salaah. Masood Qadri recited Qirat, Allama M Ayyob Tufail Qadri read out Durood Shareef, Sufi Zafer Iqbal Naqshbandi from PMB and M Umair Qadri recited very beautiful Naat.

The event titled “Call of Duty” was organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran Dundee on Feb 25, 2018 at Scottish Islamic and Cultural Centre, which was aimed at the young adults aged 13-25. It was brought together under the supervision of President Minhaj-ul-Quran Dundee Talat Mahmood and youth in charge Allama Adeel Qasmi. Youth gathered from all over Scotland including Glasgow, Coatbridge, Fife and Dundee to participate and gain Islamic spiritual knowledge.
‘International Ambassador of Peace’ Seminar was held on Feb 24, 2018 under the banner of MQI Multan in which MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was the guest of honour whereas Makhdoom Pir Zawar-ul-Hassan Chishti presided over the Seminar. Addressing the seminar, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that if those who attacked the law regarding the finality of the prophethood were not punished, similar incidents will continue to take place in future as well.
On Saturday, the 24th of February 2018, Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark held the annual Quaid Day celebrations to mark the 67th birthday of His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The event was hosted by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark, Valby, and was organized by the Local Executive Council of MQI DK, Valby. MQI DK members, affiliates and well-wishers attended the event.
