A monthly edition of spiritual gathering of Gosh-a-Durood was held at the central secretariat on February 4, 2017. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri addressed gathering via Minhaj TV from Canada. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri chose the subject of ‘piety’ for his keynote address on the occasion. He said that the Holy Quran is a source of guidance but not for everyone. He said that the Quran is the ultimate guidance and repository of knowledge for those who are pious.

Second Annual School function of Minhaj National English School was successfully held on 29th of January at Meenatai Hall, Bhiwandi. A strong audience of 835 people attended the function. Mufti Ismat Bubere, who has translated Tafseer-e- Mahimi (ra) in Urdu was one of the guests of honor at the event and started the event with Tilawat e Quran. After Tilawat, there was felicitation of guests/school staff and volunteers of Shri Bhairav Jain Seva trust that works with Minhaj for welfare events.

The Annual Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A.) conference was held at Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson on Sunday 22nd January 2017. It was organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson and featured prominent local Ulema, Naat Khwaans and invited guests. The main guest speaker was Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran Manchester Shaykh Abdul Sattar Siraj.

By the Grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) and His Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth and Sisters League organized a course in remembrance of the holy month, Rabi ul Awwal. The course consisting Seerah lectures was presented by Allama Hafiz Yasir Naseem, who graduated in Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Studies along with Arabic and is the current Allama of Minhaj-ul-Quran The Hague.

President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri reached Italy on January 11 as part of his Europe tour. He was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at the Carpi Centre. A workers’ convention was held in which Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was the chief guest.
President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri reached Vatican City on January 9, 2017 as part of his tour of Europe. His visit to Vatican was undertaken on the special invitation of Father Markus Solo, vice president of Catholic Interfaith Council of Pope. Dr Hussain had a detailed visit of the City along with Director Interfaith Relations of MQI Sohail Ahmad Raza & members of MQI Italy.
