Among the several goals of Minhaj-ul-Quran, the one among them is to reconnect and strengthen our relationship with the Holy Quran, the book of Almighty Allah and the beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The Quran is transmitted in Arabic, and the inherent quality of the Arabic script is the potential for developing a variety of ornamental forms. The Calligraphy is principally a means to transmit a text into a decorative form.
Dr Qadri said that offering of prayers five times a day is a way of salvation and peace. He said that miracles in addition to being reflection of Allah’s absolute power are meant to guide people along the right path. He said that Allah Almighty endowed the power of miracles on His chosen people for establishing authenticity of the Prophet’s claim to Prophethood and testing the believers on the strength of their faith, adding that all miracles cannot equal the truthfulness and universality of Miracle of Miraj.
Later on, the salutations were recited for Holy Prophet (PBUH). Mohammad Asghar, Mohammad Salim Sheikh, Brother Shokat, Sajid Syed, Mohammad Iqbal, Mohammad Shakil and Aman Khan Dil participated in reciting the nasheed. The ceremony was hosted by Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran New Jersey, Mohammad Sharif Kamalvi.

On the 14 of May 2015, Halqa-e-Durood gathering was held at the Minhaj-ul-Quran International Birmingham. This blessed gathering was hosted by Sister Rukhsana Parveen, MWL President of Alum Rock Birmingham. Quranic recitation was done beautifully by Sister Abida Mughal, MWL General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham. This was followed by Naat, which was recited by Sister Maaria Majeed. A group of 11 sisters and Sister Abida also read from Irfan-ul-Quran and Minhaj-us- Savi.
Minhaj-ul-Qur’an (Ashton), along with the local community of Ashton and the Ashton Central Mosque, arranged a fundraising event for the neglected and poor community of Tharparkar, Sindh, Pakistan on Sunday 10th May 2015, at the ACM Community Centre in Ashton. The program was arranged to raise awareness about desperate plight of the inhabitants of Tharparkar, and in particular their crucial need for assistance in obtaining clean drinking water.
A Funday was held on the 9th and 10th of May 2015 under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Nelson. The event which was exclusively meant for ladies and children opened its doors from 11am to 6 pm on both days at Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre, Carr Road Nelson. The Funday was held in compliance with the popular demand by local women and children following previous similar extremely successful events held at the Centre. A whole variety of delicious freshly prepared homemade food was brought in to be sold on the food stalls on the first floor.
By the Grace of Allah Almighty and blessings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW), Minhaj Women League UK presented the Midland Zone students with a one-day Irfan-ul-Quran course on the 10th May 2015 at the Ria Lounge Birmingham. The objective of this course was to develop a compassion for the comprehension of the Holy Quran developing the ability of reciting the Holy Quran with correct pronunciation for the 60 participants.

Mrs Nusrat Mahmood, President MWL South Zone, presented the welcome address in which she introduced the basic contours of the course. She said that it was a fundamental responsibility of everyone to get basic knowledge of Islamic teachings. She asked the course participants to take full benefit from this course. During this session, Irfan ul Quran course booklets were distributed among all the participants. In the course booklet, after every subject a blank page was also provided for any notes, which was highly appreciated by the participants.

Visits to North Zone chapters by Sister Nasreen Akhtar (President MWL North Zone UK), Sister Jamila Akhtar (Dawah Secretary MWL North Zone UK) and Sister Shaila Parveen (General Secretary MWL North Zone UK) took place on 28th April 2015 with MWL Rochdale chapter and 28th April 2015 with MWL Huddersfield chapters. The aim of the visits was to explain the annual working plan and discuss all roles and responsibilities with members both in English and Urdu. There was also some changes made to organization’s roles.

MWL Nelson holds a Halqa-e-Durood Mehfil every Monday in the Minhaj-ul-Quran centre and every Thursday in four different areas across Nelson. So in total, 5 sessions are held per week. In addition to these sessions, many family events are also organized. The ‘Halqas’ start at 11o’clock and when the Sisters arrive they read 2 nafil in the name of The Holy Prophet (SAW) and then begin to recite Durood Sharif for half an hour.
By the Grace of Almighty Allah Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfil for women was held at Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre Nelson. The introduction of the weekly Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfil extends across all branches of Minhaj-ul-Quran and aims to inform participants about the journey of Miraaj in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith. The Halqa-e-Rajab Mehfils have proved extremely popular amongst local female residents who feel motivated to attend and feel they gain knowledge and inner peace by participating.
On the 27th of April 2015, a Halqa Durood Mehfil was held at Sister Rabia Khanam’s house, who is MWL (Welfare Secretary Alum Rock Birmingham), in Alum Rock Birmingham. Sister Safeena Bi had the honour of opening the proceedings of the spiritual gathering with the recitation of the Holy Quran. She was followed by sister Sadia Ashraf who sang praises on the person of the Holy Prophet (SAW).
Islam Studies Association (ISA) and Interfaith Relations Minhaj-ul-Quran International (India Chapter) jointly organized an interfaith program "Together We Build Peace" on April 26, 2015 at Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Old Delhi. The program was aimed at bringing together some of the practitioners of dialogue so that they can know one another, learn from one another; so that they can work together for Peace, Reconciliation and Justice.
MWL Manchester got an honour to have a guest speaker in the person of Nasreen Akhter (MWL North president UK) who delivered a beautiful and keynote speech on the significance of Mi’raj-un-Nabi (saw) and the message for the Muslim Ummah. She said, only offering Namaz doesn’t make us “Imaanidar” we should have the love of our Prophet (saw) in our hearts.
