These Mehfils started with recitation of the Holy Quran followed by translation from “Irfan ul Quran”. After this everyone joined in the recitation of Darood Sharif collectively. The first Kalma and Astaghfar are also read by audience. Nasheeds were beautifully read by the General Secretary of M.W.L Canada Shabana Mughal and President Minhaj Naat Council Seema Razi.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishop of Lahore Reverend Irfan Jamil said that peaceful coexistence and respect for each other’s beliefs and faith was a prerequisite for promotion of interfaith relations. He said that we needed to highlight these issues in our curriculum and sensitize our young generations about the need to imbibe tolerance and moderation in our attitudes. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri presents the Islamic concept of peace, love and interfaith relations in very effective and argumentative manner. He said that Dr Qadri’s work was playing an important role in bridging gulf among religions.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Supreme Council, has said that the Muslim community will continue to benefit from the blessings of Pir Meher Ali Shah (RA) of Golra Sharif till the Day of Judgment. Referring to Hazrat Pir Meher Ali’s spiritual status, he said that the Friends of Allah Almighty irrespective of wherever they lived would continue to enlighten the hearts of the people with the love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views while 113rd annual ‘Tajdar-e-Khatam-e-Nabuwat Conference’ in the renowned shrine of Golra sharif yesterday.
Though a number of people served in key positions of MQI and contributed their share to the promotion of interfaith harmony, peace and love, fundamentals of MQI’s message, during the span of 32 years since its formation, yet the honour won by Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi is very rare to say the least.

Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri said that though list of contributions made by Dr Farid-ud-Din Qadri is very long but the major favour he did to the community is in the form of his son Shaykh-ul-Isam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and he will be remembered for times to come for this reason as well. He said that Farid-i-Millat beseeched the Holy Prophet (PBUH) for this great blessing and he then dedicated his son for the service of the Muslim community in general and humanity in particular.
Addressing the seminar, Allama Sadiq Qureshi Al-Azhari said that the father of Shaykh-ul-Islam was a great Sufi of his time who would always seek blessings of Allah’s exalted saints. He said that Farid-e-Millat was a great lover of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) whose manifested sign is his son Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and is the fruit of the tree of Farid-e-Millat (RA) who is now benefiting the entire world with his fragrance of knowledge.
On Friday 23rd August 2013, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran held a small Giyarveen Sharif celebration for the young girls who attend the education centre. It was a very enjoyable day and also very enlightening programme.
Inaugural Ceremony of Minara-tus-Salam (Gosha-e-Durood) - 22nd Aug 2013
The splendid building of MQI’s Gosha-e-Durood known as ‘Minara-tus-Salam’ has been completed. Shaykh-ul-Islam inaugurated the building following its completion. The renowned religious scholars, leaders of MQI and a large number of people including women were present on the occasion. In his remarks on the occasion, Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has showered his countless blessings on MQI. He said that establishment of Gosha-e-Durood at the central secretariat of MQI is a great blessing.
Shaykh-ul-Islam focused on the importance of seeking knowledge and how this could be done by seeking the company of the ‘Aalim-e-Rabbani’; the one that has the true knowledge of Islam and has implemented it within his heart, soul and mind. He emphasized the importance of rejecting worldly desires to enlighten one’s self with the light of religion. He stressed the importance of staying away from those people who did not spread the true message of Islam, as seeking knowledge from such people would lead to one’s downfall.
Minhaj Women League (France) organised, on the 23rd of August, a cultural program called ‘’Mina Bazar’’ so as to celebrate Eid festivities with the community in the city of La Courneuve. The Council of La Courneuve provided a big gymnasium for the event which was the first of its kind in France.
Respect for humanity basis of MQI’s message: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
Sikh leader Sardar Bashan Singh has said that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is engaged in a struggle for promotion of interfaith dialogue, harmony, and respect, culture of tolerance and upholding of human rights. He said that the chief manifestation of this is the Peace for Humanity Conference held in Wembley Arena in London under the banner of MQI in which key faith leaders prayed as per their distinct religious teachings. He said that Dr Qadri is waging a real struggle for rights of followers of different faiths in the world in general and Pakistan in particular.
23rd Itikaf City of Minhaj-ul-Quran International came to end after sighting of the moon on August 8, 2013. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri led tearful Dua in the Itikaf City, a place for understanding of religion, reformation, repentance and self-improvement. The residents of Itikaf City were weeping as Shaykh-ul-Islam made Dua. The inmates of Itikaf City spent ten days with full dedication, religious fervor and in remembrance of their Lord. The special addresses of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on the Holy Quran, human rights, spiritualism, and contemporary social issues were the chief highlight of the Itikaf City, which enriched people’s knowledge of Islam.
Beautiful Arabic & Urdu Naat by Hammad Mustafa Al-Madani Al-Qadri
The leaders and workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran International have congratulated Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on a rare honour won by Hammad Mustafa Qadri Al-Madani. According to details, Hammad Mustafa, the grandson of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri led the first four ‘rakat’ of ‘Traveeh prayers’ on the occasion of Layla-tul-Qadr. It was for the first time that he had this rare honour of leading the prayer.
Shaykh-ul-Islam has said that Islam is a complete code of life encompassing all of its facets and walks. He said that our great faith furnishes guidance to individual, family and society at every level. He said that it is for this reason that Islam has been described as a faith and not a religion. He said that beauty of Islam is that it offers solution to all problems associated with every facet of life including social, political, economic, industrial, familial and conjugal life.
