It was amazing to see the strength of character, patience and tolerance shown this year by the workers of Minhaj-ul-Qur'an and those who attended the Mawlid Conference. Despite the rain and bitter cold - despite the howling wind and terrible conditions thousands upon thousands of people kept coming in their droves to show their love and attachment to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W).
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Glasgow and MYL-UK Sisters organized a programme on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). The programme was held on Sunday the 5th of February 2012 in the Burgh Hall, and attracted hundreds of people.
International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference 2012 --- Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore
Addressing the participants, Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the historic Minar-e-Pakistan must be in awe of the devotees of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) who held their ground despite severe cold and torrential rain in expression of their love and respect of their beloved Prophet (pbuh). He said that it was the miracle of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) that the such a large number of people celebrated his birth anniversary under the open sky and let the world know that love of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) was their greatest asset and they were ready to offer any sacrifice for this.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Victoria chapter) held Mawlid-Un-Nabi (SAW) Conference on 4th February 2012. The conference was a true picture of unity within the Muslim community and remarkable presentation of respect, love and reverence for the Holy Prophet (SAW) which Muslims have in their hearts.

On 1st February 2012, the Muslim Youth League in London arranged an event with the Harun Yahya team. The event was presented by Shaykh Abdul Basit Al Azhari. The evening commenced with the Quranic recitation by Brother Ahmad Raza. This was followed by Hamd by brother Ansar. The MYL brothers’ Nasheed group then chanted hymns and eulogies of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him)

Milad March in Lahore started from Nasir Bagh and concluded on Data Darbar. Such a large participation of people in the March was demonstration of their extreme love for the Holy Prophet (SAW). The entire venue from Nasir Bagh to Data Darbar was decorated with welcoming banners, flags and multi-colour balloons. The people, on the way, kept on offering greetings and salutations on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). Men were walking on one side of the road, while on the other side were women and children.
A huge Milad March was held here on January 29 under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League (MYL) in connection with the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The march began from Chandni Chowk and culminated at Committee Chowk. Thousands of people from all walks of life, including associates, workers and office-bearers of Minhaj-ul-Quran from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad participated in the march.
On 29th January 2012, MYL-S Halifax attended the Leeds Mawlid Celebration to set up a MYL-S stall and promote the London Declaration for Global Peace and Resistance against Extremism at the Bangladeshi Community Centre.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International celebrates the Mawlid of the Holy Prophet (SAW) with traditional zeal and zest throughout the world including Pakistan where thousands of Milad gatherings are held under its banner in every nook and corner of the country. Milad feasts are arranged and torch-bearing processions are taken out. The grand International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference (S.A.W.), held at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore Pakistan.
On the 28th January 2012 Mississauga Muslim Community Centre (MMCC), Canada held its annual Mawlid conference celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). It was a Alhamdulillah a great success with sisters of all walks of life attending. The keynote speaker was Sister Ghazala Qadri, member of the Supreme Council (MQI) and General Secretary of Minhaj-ul-Qur’an Women League International.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Oldham celebrated the auspicious occasion of Mawlidun-Nabi (SAW) with great festivity and joy in Madinah Jamia Masjid on 28th January 2012. Over 600 women participated.
On 27th of January 2012, the Inauguration of new extension of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax took place in the presence of Mr Javid Akhtar (Head of Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax), the students of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax and their parents.
