The proceedings of lecture on Irfan-ul-Quran on Day 4 began with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat after the Fajr prayer. Allama Muhammad Fayyaz Bashir Qadri delivered his speech on the topic of “Role of the youth in establishment of faith”. Hundreds of people from the city as well as peripheral areas attended the lecture. They took keen interest. The program ended with Dua.
The proceedings of the third lecture on Irfan-ul-Quran began with the recitation from the Holy Quran after the Fajr prayer followed by Naat on August 5. People belonging to different schools of thought and professions attended the lecture. Allama Ghazanfer Hussain Qadri delivered his speech on the subject of “Aqeeda-e-Tawassal”. Separate seating arrangements were made for women.
The second programme of lectures on the Irfan-ul-Quran was held on August 4 after the Fajr prayers. Allama Zaheer Ahmad Naqishbandi made a speech on the topic of “Life’s aim: Pleasure of Allah”. In addition to influential people of the area, hundreds of people from across the city and adjoining villages attended the lecture. Despite heavy rain, which hit the city, people kept sitting to listen to the speech of the learned scholar. The programme ended with Dua.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International strongly condemned the act of terrorism and loss of 92 innocent people at the hands of a man named Andrew Behring Breivik. In this hour of grief and sorrow, a 20-member group of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Norway) attended a condolence session organized in the remembrance of those killed in the attacks.
On August 3, 2011, annual lectures on Irfan-ul-Quran commenced under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Shakargarh). The formal proceedings began with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat. Allama Muhammad Afzal Qadri delivered his keynote speech on the importance of the holy month of Ramadan. Hundreds of people participated in the program.
Dr Muhammad Tahir Ul Qadri, an internationally renowned lawyer and theologian, will speak on ‘Peace, Humanity and Islam’ at the University of Auckland Business School (Room 260-098 Glenn Owen Building) on August 7 at 1 pm, followed by a Question & Answer Session. Dr Qadri is better known for his ‘Fatwa’ (Decree) on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings, denouncing them as ‘Anti-Islam.’
The concluding ceremony of Irfan-ul-Quran Course was held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Faisalabad chapter) in which the participants were awarded certificates. The proceedings of the program, which was held in Minhaj Islamic Centre Gulfishan Colony, started with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat.

Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League arranged a 5-day long Tanzeemat Camp from July 24 to July 28, 2011 in Minhaj College for Women, Township Lahore. Those who played significant role in organizing and making the course a resounding success included Ms Sumaira Rafaqat, Secretary General Women League, Ms Sajida Sadiq, Ms Khadija Fatima, Ms Afnan Baber, Ms Sidra Karamat, Ms Naila Jafar, and Ms Nabila Yousuf.
A beautiful annual ceremony for Bayt-ul-Hikmah (House of Wisdom) classes was organized in which the annual results were announced for the students on July 24, 2011. The students attended the classes throughout the year, every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Bayt-ul-Hikmah classes are held on a semester basis, in which each semester consists of three months. We have almost 150 students for Bayt-ul-Hikmah and it is pertinent to mention that these classes are the longest running classes in MQI London.
A ceremony to hand over keys of constructed houses and cheques among the flood victims of Muzzafar Garh, Kot Addu, and the surrounding areas was arranged by Minhaj Welfare Foundation (Muzzafar Garh chapter). Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, senior deputy Secretary General, was the guest of honour, while Ahmad Nawaz Anjum and Sajid Mahmood Bhatti also made special attendance.
MQI to hold Itikaf 2011 this year
Irfan-ul-Quran Courses occupy central importance for reconnecting people to the Holy Quran, creation of awareness among the female students and preparation of instructors for the conduction of Irfan-ul-Quran courses. Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (MWL) arranged a 7-day Irfan-ul-Quran Course at Minhaj Girls College (Township, Lahore), which started from July 14 and concluded on July 21, 2011.
As a part of its pro-people initiatives, Minhaj Welfare Foundation arranged a mass marriage ceremony of ten couples belonging to the flood affected families of District Layyah on July 21, 2011. Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Amir of MQI Punjab, presided over the ceremony. A large number of local people and social activists also participated in the program.
The Three Faiths Forum (3FF) is one of the UK’s leading interfaith organization and has been running for 14 years to encourage harmony and confront prejudice. Its work mainly involves discussing various community-related topics at places of worship belonging to the three major Abraham traditions, Islam, Christianity and Judaism with their representatives delivering short speeches.
Lecture in New Zealand on Qur’an and the Stature of Holy Prophet (PBUH)
In his speech to the participants of the annual gathering, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we should continue the struggle of winning the pleasure of Allah Almighty. He said that the focus of our actions tends to be on things which earn the displeasure of our Lord and it is a result of the same that Allah’s displeasure is manifesting itself in various torments and crises.
