Sunday 27th June 2011: As part of Al-Azhar WAAG delegation’s visit to MWF’s operational offices in Nelson, the members also visited MQI Nelson. Led by Shaykh Dr Abd al-Fadeel al-Qawsi (Vice President of WAAG – World Association of Al-Azhar Graduates), the delegation included Professor Usama Yasin (Vice President for Administrative affairs of WAAG), Dr Abdul Daaim Al-Naseer and Brother Marwaan (Secretary of Dr Abd al-Fadeel al-Qawsi).
Under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, a program for Miraj-un-Nabi (SAW) was organized on the 26th of June in which a large number of women from Copenhagen and surroundings participated.

In the third week of June 2011, on 18 and 19, the Istanbul Foundation for Science and Culture (a leading research-based educational institute in Turkey) arranged a “Third International Scholars Conference on Nursi Studies”. Bediuzzaman Said Nursi was a contemporary of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Both of them “were two stars of the 20th century”. And “although they never met and [probably] were not aware of each other’s ideas, they put forward similar views on many subjects”.
Saturday 18th of June 2011: Minhaj Women’s League and Muslim Youth League Sisters Sheffield jointly organized Miraaj-un-Nabi (S.A.W) conference in the town of Rotherham. The guest speakers of the event were Aalima Faiza Qadri and Sister Khadija Atkinson from London.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Faisalabad chapter) held a prestigious seminar in the honour of Haji Muhammad Rasheed Qadri and Haji Muhammad Inayat Qadri, two companions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to mark their educational, religious and welfare services on June 17, 2011 in Nusrat Fateh Ali auditorium.
Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director of Interfaith Relations of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, met the Pope Benedict XVI in Vatican City and presented him the Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Pope Benedict appreciated the services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for the promotion of peace, harmony and interfaith dialogue.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation officially launched its 2011 campaign, ‘WOULD YOU’ in Manchester on Sunday 12th June 2011. The Amir of Minhaj ul Quran UK, Zahoor Ahmed Niazi was overwhelmed with the number of dedicated and loyal supporters of MWF. Hundreds of volunteers, workers and those affiliated with Minhaj ul Quran turned out in great number in the official launch in what was seen as a new chapter for Minhaj Welfare Foundation in the UK and Europe.

Shaykh-ul-Islam has said that the practice of running national economy with the oxygen of foreign loans has endangered the national security and economic self-reliance does not appear to be in sight given the highly questionable conduct of the ruling elite. He said that the powers that be are obsessed with corruption, concentration of power and are least bothered about people’s welfare and interest.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi addresses prize distribution ceremony of Minhaj Education Society
Former Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is a multi-dimensional personality and the country needs a leader like him to steer it out of unchartered waters. He said that the plant of Minhaj Education Society spawned by him in 1994 has now grown into a fruit-bearing tree.
The monthly spiritual gathering of Gosha-e-Durood for the month of June 2011 under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was held on June 2. The gathering was attended by religious scholars, intellectuals, teachers and students of College of Shariah and Minhaj Girls College in addition to office bearers of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that there is a need to spread the love of the Holy Prophet (SAW) in this age marked by rate race, terrorism, extremism, economic worries and social turbulence as it is the only panacea to fight off the current set of problems. He said that the love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) is not only the real faith but also complete faith. This love for the beloved Prophet (SAW) teaches the Muslims to be fountain of peace and love around them.

American Muslims Host Islamic Scholar's Declaration of "A Fatwa Against Terrorism"
Minhaj Education Society and the Department of Social Sciences & Humanities University of Agriculture Faisalabad jointly arranged a Five-Day Workshop on: "Phonetics & pronunciation", from May 23-27, 2011; in New Senate Hall, UAF.
Newly elected president of Punjab chapter of PAT, Muhammad Lehrasib Khan Gondal, said that the rulers need to awaken their patriotism to break the shackles of economic slavery in order to attain true independence. He said that he had full faith in the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to bring about much needed change in the country.
