LONDON: Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK hosted a question and answer session with Sir William Patey (UK Ambassador to Afghanistan) which was facilitated by the FCO at its London centre. The session was attended by many young Muslims from East London who wanted to know more about the British mission in Afghanistan.
By the grace of Almighty Allah and the blessings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) the Minhaj-ul-Qura’n Women League organized a 7-day Islamic Learning Camp to train young sisters on both spiritual and moral bases. On the first day of this camp almost 200 sisters from all over Pakistan joined this camp. The proceedings started with recitation of verses from the Holy Qura’n followed by a beautiful Nasheed and Darood-o-Salam.
Minority leaders join Muslims in condemning the Data Darbar attacks
Mr Muhammad Mustafa (GM Malik), Deputy Secretary General MQI, who was on his visit to Norway last month, visited the foreign office in Norway, met Mr FM Alf Arne Ramslin (Asst Director General of South Asia) and discussed with him matters of bilateral and general interests, particularly in connection with Minhaj Reconciliation Council and its efforts towards Conflict Resolution, a field both the sides are deeply in to enhance collaboration.
The leaders of different religions got together to participate in a ceremony of lighting peace candles at the revered shrine of Data sahib under the banner of Directorate of Interfaith Relations of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and the United Religions’ Initiative. A collective prayer was held for the departed souls as a mark of solidarity with those who lost their near and dear ones in this tragedy.
In a rare show of inter-religious harmony, the Muslim and Minority leaders who belonged to different religions joined hands to condemn the suicide blasts in the revered shrine of Data Sahib. The Minority Council of Pakistan and Directorate of Interfaith Relations of Minhaj-ul-Quran International organized a joint session in the courtyard of the Data Darbar here today.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Lodhran chapter organized a protest rally against the suicide attack on the Data Darbar, which started from the bus stand and concluded on the Press club. The rally was attended by hundreds of people who belonged to different sections of society. Malik Aslam Hammad Rana Muhammad Zahir, Azhar Langha Advocate, and Chaudhary Abdul ghaffar led the rally.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri criticized the role of parliamentarians, saying that MNAs and MPAs know everything about terrorists in their constituencies but are maintaining criminal silence due their vested interests. He blasted the inaction of the parliament and said that the country is being turned into Somalia, Ethiopia and Afghanistan and those entrusted with the responsibility of steering the ship of the state are keeping mum. He said that the politicians have neglected the national interest for the sake of their petty interests.

Irshad Tahir, Amir of MQI Lahore, led the rally, while the distinguished personalities included Hafizullah Javed, Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, Allama Muhammad Hussain Azad, Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Mumtaz Sadiqi, Afzal Gujjar, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, Shahzad Khan Mustafavi, Prof Muhammad Ramzan Ayubi, Dr Qashir Rafique, Abdul Ghaffar and other leaders.
Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of MQI’s Supreme Council, reached Greece on May 27, 2010 on his two-day organizational tour. He was accompanied by Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Deputy Secretary General MQI. A large number of affiliates and office bearers of MQI Greece that included Javed Iqbal Qadri, Sayyid Muhammad Jamil Shah, Shahbaz Ahmad Siddiqi, Ghulam Murtaza Qadri, Muhammad Ramzan Qadri, Muhammad Shafique Awan, Aamir Ali Qadri, Dr Abdur Rehman, and Lala Muhammad Hayat accorded a warm welcome to the respected guests on their arrival at the airport.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has condemned the suicide attacks in the renowned shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, which killed around 50 devotees and injured more than 150 people on Thursday night in Lahore. He said that those who abetted, planned and carried out these dastardly attacks were not Muslims. They are the worst enemies of Islam, Pakistan and entire humanity.
