Youth have the most important part to play in the growth and progress of any society and no nation could move up the ladder of development without involving its youth in the decision-making processes. The government needs to come up with a proactive National Youth Policy to address the problems being faced by the young generation of the country.
This certainly was a day of the most profound worship but it did not involve any praying of nafil (supererogatory) prayers, or any of the renowned modes of non-obligatory worship. This was a form of worship which is superior to the customary non-obligatory worship. In fact only a few moments of this type of worship is superior to a thousand nights of the best nafil prayers.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International is working to promote peace, tolerance, interfaith harmony and education, tackle extremism and terrorism, engage with young Muslims for religious moderation, promote women's rights, development and empowerment, and provide social welfare and promotion of human rights.
MQI Achievements
Under the umbrella of his nascent organisation, Minhaj-ul-Quran, Shaykh-ul-Islam established the Jamia Islamia Minhaj-ul-Quran in Lahore on 18th September 1986, now known as College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences (COSIS), an institute of Islamic Studies which would provide scientific, modern and progressive subjects alongside traditional, classical Islamic sciences, a blueprint for the mass educational system that was to follow.
By the grace of Almighty Allah and the blessings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) the Minhaj-ul-Qura’n Women League organized its five day training camp for Tanzimaat to train them on both spiritual and moral bases to enhance their output in the field.
Brief introduction of Dr Tahir ul Qadri, some of his achievements, works and chains of authority. A man of manifold and staggering achievements, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is the founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), an organization with branches and centres in more than 90 countries around the globe, working for the promotion of peace and harmony between communities and the revival of spiritual endeavour based on the true teachings of Islam.
Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International organised just such training in partnership with the NHS on 21st July 09. The training included usage of a Defibrillator, CPR (which forms part of basic 1st Aid) and general background knowledge to cardiac arrest. Members of the Minhaj executives, Womens League, Youth League Brothers and Sister participated in the training.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International made history the other day when it launched its central website in the Arabic language. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri inaugurated the Arabic website during his tour of Europe. Shaykh-ul-Islam was attending prestigious Training Workshop in Italy under the banner of MQI European Council on July 18, 2009.
Minhaj-ul-Quran European Council is all set to organize a three-day long European Workshop on Peace and Integration from July 17, 2009, onwards in the Italian city, Milan. Founding leader and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri would deliver keynote speech at the occasion.
Minhaj-ul-Quran European Council and Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Italy chapter) organized Peace & Integration Workshop in Ripa Monti Hotel of Milan city of Italy from July 17 to July 19, 2009. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, graced the occasion on special invitation.

Inaugural ceremony of Teacher Training Workshop under the banner of MQI Directorate of Training was held on July 13, 2009, which was presided over by Sahibzada Miskin Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, central Amir. Acting Secretary General Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Director Foreign Affairs G.M. Malik and other leaders attended the ceremony.
Attended by a large number of workers, associates and office holders of Scandinavian chapters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Peace & Integration Conference was held from July 10 to July 12, 2009 under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Oslo with the cooperation of MQI European Council. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, under whose patronage the program was held, also delivered his talk to the participants on training-related matters.
The annual gathering of Miraj-un-Nabi (saw) was held in the Mosque al-Mustafa in the MQI Centre of Abara, Japan in which Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees made special appearance. The regular proceedings of the programme got underway with recitation from the Holy Quran by Osma Owais followed by Naat by Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Irfan. Muhammad Youqub Mughal and Haji Naeem Khan conducted the proceedings of the proceedings.
The three-day long Scandinavian Workshop is all set to start from July 10, 2009 in the Islamic Centre of MQI Oslo under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran European Council. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, would deliver the keynote speech in the Workshop.
On July 9, 2009 (Thursday), a grand spiritual Miraj-un-Nabi (saw) Conference was held under the aegis of MQI Japan in Abara city. Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Rana was the chief guest in the conference. The proceedings of the Conference got underway with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat.
Directorate of Training of Minhaj-ul-Quran International organized a two-day training camp aimed at preparing trainers from July 7 to July 8, 2009 in the conference hall of the central secretariat. The venue was decorated very beautifully. All general secretaries of Directorate of Training at the central level and secretaries of Training and Dawa belonging to Lahore chapter of MQI attended the moot.

The son of Nawab Talal Bugti and grandson of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, Nawab Shah Zain Bugti (president of Balochistan chapter of Jamhoori Watan Party), visited the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. He was accompanied by Madni Baloch (General Secretary Punjab) and Zahid Chaudhry.
