On Sunday the 9th November, the Muslim Youth League UK conducted its meeting & official launch at the James Graham Building, Leeds Metropolitan University. The meeting was attended by dozens of brothers who came from a number of towns and cities around the UK.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Welfare Foundation (Faisalabad chapter) organized congregational marriages of twenty five couples on November 9, 2008 in Gulfishan Colony, Faisalabad. Naib Nazim-e-Ala MQI, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, presided over the programme whereas senior provincial minister, Raja Riaz Ahmad, was the chief guest at the occasion.

Attended by hundreds of men and women, the monthly spiritual gathering, which was 35th, was held in the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on November 6, 2008. Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said that the number of Durood recited during the month of October was 30.7 million, whereas its number over the last three years since the inception of Gosha-e-Durood has exceeded 6 billion mark.
A new DVD lecture has been dispatched with the name of “Peace, Integration and Human Rights in the Light of the Quran & Sunnah”. This lecture is from the one day symposium that recently took place at Sheridan Suite, Manchester. This DVD has been sent to over 450 government officials including MPs, Lords and Members of European Parliament.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) launched its relief and rehabilitation operations by sending the first caravan of trucks carrying relief goods of Rs. 10 million to the earthquake-hit areas of Balochistan last night. These goods include stuff like eatables, blankets, warm clothes, shoes, medicines and tents etc.

Directorate of Irfan-ul-Quran Course & Durood session organized a week-long training course for teachers from October 18, 2008 to October 24, 2008 at the Central Secretariat in the conference hall. The purpose of holding the above-mentioned camp was to prepare a breed of qualified teachers for the spread and promotion of classes of Irfan-ul-Quran Course. Complying with the instructions and directives of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the Directorate invited 60 religious scholars from across Pakistan who possessed the Master degree either in Islamic Studies, Arabic or Darsi-e-Nizami.

Imam-ul-Harem, Shaikh Salih Bin Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Talib visited Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran Kwai Chung on Thursday, 23 October, 2008. Hundreds of people gathered at the Islamic center to welcome him. On the arrival of the Imam, some local children presented him with the bouquets of flowers.
The Hong Kong Taoist Association School (HKTAS) held a meeting with Hafiz Naseem Khan the chief Imam at Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran Hong Kong. A delegation of four people visited the Idara. Among them was the Principal, Ms Lau Wai Chun.
MAYOR OF LONDON Boris Johnson visited the Minhaj-ul-Quran International centre on Romford Road in London on Sunday 19th October 2008. This is the first visit the Mayor of London has made to a Muslim place of worship since his appointment to office. Mr Johnson said: “I am delighted to visit a mosque, a Muslim institution and place of worship”.
The program got underway after Isha prayers and its duration was 2 and half hours. Nearly 200 men and 50 women participated in this program. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s scholarly discourse on Islamic peace and human rights was so much enlightening and illuminating as to absorb audience in his depth of scholarship and beauty of presentation.

Spanish Minister for Labour, Mr. Celestino Corbacho, held a meeting with the representatives of the expatriate community on October 17, 2008. The Pakistani delegation was led by Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, the spokesman for Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Spain chapter).
