By the grace of Almighty Allah and his beloved Messenger (saw) Minhaj ul Quran International Glasgow successfully held their fourth session of Halq-e-Irfan-ul-Quran on Friday 13th of June in which there was an audience of over 60 people. After learning about the importance of the understanding of the Holy Quran and the difference between other commentaries.
On Thursday 12th of June 2008 our monthly Halaqa-e-Darood Shareef was held especially for the students of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Home educational project. Students recited naats and a young naat khawn, Muteen was also invited to encourage others to recite naats aswell, and Darood Shareef was read collectively. The students were shown video clips of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri as on the weekly study circles where they also listen attentively to Shaykh-ul-islam and gain knowledge.
Four member delegation of British Foreign & Commonwealth Office consisting of Mian Azhar Ali, Liz Sleeman, Strategy Manager Preventing on Extremism Unit, Natasha Khan JP Urdu Spokesperson and Shaheen Taj visited various departments at the Headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran and met Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din, member Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI).
The annual gathering of Mehfil-e-Milad (saw) was held in the main campus of International Islamic University, Islamabad under the banner of Mustafvi Students Movement. Mr. Fakhar Zaman Adil presided over it, while President MSM (Islamic University) Muhammad Saleem Ishaq was the guest of honour at the occasion. Before the start of the programme, the main campus of the university was decorated with multi-colour electric bulbs and it presented beautiful scene.
On June 2, 2008, a new website of Minhaj Education Society was launched. This website contains the details of various educational projects being undertaken by Minhaj-ul-Quran International in its efforts to equip the country with light of knowledge. The pictorial introduction of mass educational centres holds a lot of interest for the users on the homepage. Links of the background of mass educational centres, aims and objectives, targets, educational policy, administrative structure, central departments, syllabus designing, syllabi, education board and other day-to-day activities have been given on the main page.
Irfan-ul-Quran Center is an educational & training center for women. Here, women are educated on both spiritual & moral basis and they are given awareness about the knowledge of Sharia. They are also taught Tajweed, Quran, Hadith, Fiqh & Arabic Grammar as well. To make them practical, training workshops are arranged, once is a week, in the conference Hall at the central secretariat.

A prestigious ceremony marking the 19th Foundation Day of Pakistan Awami Tehreek was held in the Danish Hall of the party Secretariat on May 19 with its central President Miskin Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani in the chair. The member of the Supreme Council of MQI, Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, was the guest of honour at the occasion.

A splendid Irfan-ul-Quran Conference was held on May 10, 2008 in the Government City High School under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Haveli Lakha, District Okara. This conference was organized in connection with the successful completion of Irfan-ul-Quran Course. Central Nazim Training Allama Muhammad Idrees Rana presided over the conference, whereas Syed Muhammad Munwar Ali Kazmi was the guest of honour at the occasion.
Directorate of Dawat has started Irfan-ul-Quran Course in Lahore Cant on May 5, 2008. Senior Naib Nazim of Directorate of Dawat, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza Baghdadi, is the teacher and convener of the course. About 300 people, both male and female, are participating in this course, which is being organized in the Musftafa Library Hall in Lahore Cant. The daily classes start at 5 pm and continue till 7 pm.
Monthly spiritual gathering on the account of 11th sharif was held urder the banner of Minhaj ul Quran Women League (Carpi Italy) on May 4, 2008. This program was held at Minhaj ul Quran Islamic Center of Carpi. The proceeding of the programe started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Mrs. Nayla Imtiaz. Afterthat Mrs. Aasia, Mrs. Zohra saif, Miss Anam and Mrs. Jabeen Zohra presented Naat sharif.
Directorate of Training organized a one day long training camp of the different sub-branches of Minhaj-ul-Quran in Minhaj Islamic Centre Saeela in Jehlum on May 4, 2008. The camp was attended by more than 50 Tehseli officer-holders from Jehlum, Deena, Pind Dadan Khan and Saray Alamgir. Addressing the participants of the camp, Nazim Training, Prof Muhammad Salim Ahmad, said that a strong organization network was dire need of the hour and the Directorate of Training was busy in the task at spiritual, moral, intellectual, ideological, administrative and organizational levels.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council organized 'Ghous-ul-Azam' Seminar on May 3 in the Central Secretariat Model Town, which was presided over by Amir-e-Tehreek Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani. Nazim-a-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Dr Jamil-ur-Rehman, Rana Muhammad Idrees, Allama Mukhtar Hussain Saddiqui, Allama Gul Ahmad Ateeqi, Pir Ghulam Hussain Shah, Qamar Tariq, Haji Imdadullah Khan, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Mufti Tabish Qasuri, Allama Mir Asif Akber, Hafiz Muhammad Akber, Allama Muhammad Mumtaz were among the prominent guests at the occasion.

CROWDS descended on the Minhaj al-Quran International centre in London, UK to hear a profound scholar speak. His Excellency Dr Muhammad Tahir al-Qadri made a formal appearance at the Minhaj al-Quran centre on Romford Road in Newham on the late evening of Saturday 26th April 2008 as part of a world tour. Dr Qadri arrived after completing a successful tour of the Middle East. He lectured at the sacred city of Madina al-Munawwara - home to Islam's holiest sanctuary and shrine of Prophet Muhammad.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League organized a grand reception on April 25 in order to celebrate the successful holding of the Milad Festival in the Race Course Park under its banner. This programme was arranged in the conference hall of the Central Secretariat. The daughter of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Mrs Qura tul Ain Fatima, presided over the moot, while naib Nazim-e-Ala of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Director Foreign Affairs G.M. Malik, Amir-e-Tehreek Punjab Ahmad Nawaz Anjum and Director FMRi Dr Ali Akbar Qadri were the guests of honour at the occasion.
The Milaad Festival 2008 was organized by Al Hidayah NL, which is the local branch of the youth of Minhaj-ul-Quran Holland. A regular group of members gather on a weekly basis to study Irfan-ul-Quran and Minhaj-us-Sawiyy. Every once in a while, Shaykh Ramadan al-Qadri and Shaykh Sohail Siddiqui are invited to come over from UK and deliver their lectures and tarbiyyah.
On behalf of Chairman Board of Governors of Minhaj University, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a delegation of its students led by Deputy Registrar G.M. Malik visited the shrine of the poet of East Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA) on the occasion of his 70th death anniversary. The delegation also comprised of central leaders of Pakistan Awami Tehreek namely Deputy Secretary Sohail Ahmad Raza, Deputy Director Protocol to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Imtiaz Ahmad Awan, Deputy Director Foreign Affairs Shakeel Ahmad Tahir, Protocol Officer DFA Rana Muhammad Nafees, Nadeem Ahmad Awan and others. Milad Festival continued for the second day. The event is being organized under aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League at the Race Course Park, Lahore. The wife of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Begum Riffat Jabeen Qadri, along with her daughters inaugurated the proceedings of the Milad Festival. They visited various stalls. The central leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women also accompanied them.
