Shahid Mursaleen, senior leader of MQI UK visited the central secretariat of the Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) in Model Town and held meetings with Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Director of Foreign Affairs GM Malik, Director Media Noorullah Siddiqui, and Director Finance Abdul Rehman. Moreover, he also visited different directorates and departments of the MQI.

During the visit, he held meetings with MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, GM Malik, Noorullah Siddiqui, Muhammad Farooq Rana, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Nadeem Awan, Imtiaz Awan and others. He also visited various offices and the central Mosque Minhaj-ul-Quran.
A meeting of the Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Supreme Council was held on September 7 with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in the chair. In his special talk on the occasion, Shaykh-ul-Islam congratulated all members on their appointment to the Supreme Council and lauded the services and contributions of each member individually. He said he has transferred all his powers to the Supreme Council. He said the Council is the protector of the foundational thought that has been mentioned in the constitution of the MQI.
Addressing a meeting of the Majlis-e-Aamila held on September 5, the founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he wants to see the Majlis-e-Aamila and Majlis-e-Shura evolve into institutions of meaningful consultation. He said keeping this goal in view, the structure of these constitutional bodies is being changed.

(r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khn, all heads, deputy heads of different directorates and departments as well as the members of Majlis-e-Aamila. The progress report of the departments was presented in the meeting. The participants made a vow to make Pakistan the hub of peace and knowledge and to render social, religious and welfare services in the light of the vision of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Addressing the concluding ceremony of the 20-day International 'Fann-e-Qiraat Course held under the banner of Directorate of Training and Courses, MQI, Chairman Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that Allah opens the doors of understanding of the Holy Quran for whosoever He is pleased with. He said those who remain in a constant endeavour to understand the Holy Quran are lucky.

Addressing a "Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) & Unity of Umma Conference" held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) cannot be considered as the killing of a human being. Rather the purpose of martyring Imam Hussain (as) was to hurt the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will address “Shahadat-e-Imam Husayn (alayhi as-salam) Conference” in the central secretariat to be organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) on the 9th of Muharram on Saturday. Religious scholars, Mashaykh and intellectuals belonging to different walks of life and schools of thought will attend the Conference.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said educated youths that are blessed with the strength of character, are the future of Pakistan. He said that protecting the youth from extremism and violent attitudes is the responsibility of all parties and religious scholars. He asked the youth to adopt the path of moderation and balance in the matters of life.
