On Tuesday, Minhaj Welfare Foundation dispatched 14 truckloads of 12000 packets of food for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri saw off the relief caravan with their prayers. Speaking at the occasion, Dr Qadri said that PAT was standing by the affectees and the armed forces of Pakistan in accordance with its traditions at this hour of trail and tribulation. He said that the entire nation held the sacrifices of the armed forces in high esteem and were proud of their military.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has refused to become the part of investigation related to Model Town tragedy, Dunya News reported. Inspector General Punjab Police Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera had written a letter to Tahirul Qadri to join investigation into the incident. However, the PAT chief refused and said Punjab Police, who were killer of his party workers, were probing the incident.
LAHORE: Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahir ul Qadri has said that a peaceful revolution is sure to come, while he added that PAT will not get the investigations of Model Town massacre done by the murderers, nor will it become part of the probe – ARY News reports. During his meeting with the journalists, Tahir ul Qadri vowed not to make any compromise on the revolution and to lead forth the struggle for the rights of the people.

On Saturday, Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PMLQ), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) accepted Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)’s invitation to join its All Parties Conference (APC) over Model Town tragedy.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Five-point declaration of All Parties Conference Hosted by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has been finalised, Dunya News reported. The five points of the declaration included, first Information Report (FIR) of the incident should be registered on the complaint filed by Minhaj-ul-Quran. The APC demanded that the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should resign and if he does not tender resignation the President should seek Punjab CM’s resignation.
The police attack that took place at the residence of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Lahore on June 17 represents the worst ever example of state terrorism, savagery, violence and barbarism in which live bullets were fired at innocent and unarmed citizens, the unarmed women were killed by firing of live bullets for the first time in the history of Pakistan and the Holy Quran was desecrated. The Model Town tragedy is condemned in the strongest possible words. Protection of people’s lives and property, right to peaceful protest and freedom of expression are fundamental requirements of real democracy.

Addressing the All-Parties Conference, PAT chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the rulers broke all records of savagery and terrorism by killing innocent and unarmed workers and the members of the civil society, which resulted in martyrdom of 14 people besides injuring over 125 workers. He said that police intimidated and coerced the Durood reciters in Gosh-a-Durood and did not even hesitate from desecrating the Holy Quran. He said that the Model Town police got the barriers erected around his residence and the central secretariat on the orders of the High Court after the members of neighbourhood moved a petition before the honourable Court for enhanced security measures.

The resolution demanded constitution of a commission comprising of three senior Judges of the Supreme Court, which could summon anyone including the prime minister.
A joint-declaration issued after the All Parties Conference (APC) convened by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s resignation and dismissal of ministers and senior officials over Minhajul Quran tragedy. Condemning the Model Town tragedy which claimed about a dozen lives for police-PAT clashes, the five-point APC resolution stated that the cruel operation on unarmed PAT workers was tantamount to tearing justice into shreds.
The joint declaration also demanded that all police officers and other government officials, including IG Punjab, DIG, home secretary, DCO, Lahore CCPO, SSPs, SP Model Town and SHOs Model Town Police Station should be dismissed and arrested "for their involvement in the Model Town killings", while Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other provincial ministers should resign and hand over themselves to the law.
In the five-point charter of demands, the APC also called for a fair probe into the Model Town incident, formation of a commission comprising three judges of the Supreme Court. It was also demanded that the commission comprising judges with clean reputation should head the proposed commission and must have the authority to summon anyone, including the sitting prime minister, federal ministers and Punjab chief minister. It was also demanded that for a fair probe, an inquiry committee comprising officials of good reputation be constituted.
A THREE-member Jamaat-e-Islami delegation will attend the APC being organised by Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday to discuss the police action and shooting at Minjahul Quran Secretariat, leaving 14 workers dead. This decision was taken at a meeting at Mansoora on the directions of JI Ameer Sirajul Haq after an invitation by phone from the PAT chief.
With martyrdom of Shahbaz Mustafavi of Muridkay who succumbed to bullet injuries here today, the death toll of Model Town carnage has risen to 14. On June 17, the Punjab Police opened indiscriminate firing at unarmed and innocent workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Minhaj-ul-Quran International during their raid and martyred ten people in the process besides injuring over 100 people including 40 who were critically injured.

Addressing a press conference here, Qadri said: “From this Friday, I appeal to everyone to stage peaceful rallies in support to Zarb-e-Azb.” “I completely support the army’s operation, ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ to stamp out terrorism,” he said. “The operation of Zarb-e-Azb by the Pak-Army is a jihad against terrorism.”
