A seminar titled ‘Save the state’ was held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Gujranwala chapter) in Al-Wadood Marriage Hall. Sehikh Zahid Fayyaz, senior Deputy Secretary General of MQI, was the guest of honour on the occasion. Syed Mahmood-ul-Hassan Shah, Asad Gondal, Dr Muhammad Munir Hashmi, Sarfraz Hussain Niazi, Hakeem Riffat Ashfaq, Tahir Saleem Chughtai, Rashid Mir, Sheikh Saifullah and PAT and MSM leaders were also present on the occasion.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that workers were heart and soul of any organization and its success and achievements were because of them. He said that it was the work and contribution of workers which provided a ladder to leaders to walk up to pedestal of success and fame. He said that success was possible if the workers worked with sincerity and commitment to achieve the organizational objectives.

Shakira Chaudhry, President of Mustafvi Students Movement (Female), has said that the news of arrival of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has caused a reverberation among the vested interests. She said that the 23rd of December would represent the beginning of demolishing a system, which was erected on hooliganism, authoritarianism, manipulative tactics, and corruption. She said that this day would serve as a basis for establishment of a prosperous, stable and peaceful country.

Reforms in system to defeat militancy and terrorism: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Supreme Council, has said that even fifty elections held under the prevalent electoral system would fail to bring about any change in the country with the result that things would continue to go from bad to worse. He said that public gathering on the 23rd of December would be path-breaking and historic event in nature.
The distinguished among the gathering were Allama Sohail Ahmad Siddiqui, Shahzad Rasool Qadri, Ch Bashir Ahmad Advocate, Ch Imtiaz Ahmad Advocate (Chairman Wisdom Lawyers Forum), Shahzad Bhatti Advocate (Chairman National Lawyers Forum), Asif Maher Advocate (former vice president of Ferozwala Bar Association), Ishtiaq Ahmad Ch Advocate (President of National Lawyers Forum), SM Murid Bhutta (Chairman PAO Lawyers Group), Sheikh Yasir Khalil Advocate (former vice president Lahore Bar Association), Sardar Ghazanfer Hussain Advocate and Nasir Iqbal Qadri Advocate.
Talking to the Sikh leaders, Sohail Ahmad Raza said that MQI was making efforts to promote friendship between different faiths and communities under the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that Sikh-Muslim Friendship was being strengthened with the passage of time.
Mustafvi Students Movement (MSM) launched its ‘Wake up Lahore’ drive from November 19 onwards as a part of MQI’s public awareness campaign. The people expressed their joy to listen to the news of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s arrival in Pakistan on December 23. They assured that they would extend their support to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in his agenda of seeking a change in the system through peaceful and democratic means.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, in his remarks on the occasion, termed the meeting of District Coordinators as important, saying that Punjab would play a leading role in extending historic welcome to Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that MQI chapters in Punjab were quite organized and working very well. He directed the coordinators to work with renewed commitment to make December 23 gathering a resounding and historic success.
Federal Minhajian Forum, a representative organization of graduates of Minhaj University Lahore living in the federal capital, met in their office in Karachi Company in G-9 sector of Islamabad on November 28. The highlight of the meeting was telephonic speech of Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. The guest of honour on the occasion was Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, whereas Prof Abdul Quddus Durrani, president of the Forum, presided over the programme.
A three-member delegation of Turkey visited the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on November 28, 2012. Upon arrival, the central leaders of MQI extended a warm welcome to the respected guests.
Qayyum Nizami said that Dr Iqbal’s concept of democracy was that the poor had the right to tax the rich. He was convinced of politics, which resulted in people’s wellbeing and state stability. The renowned columnist said that the present electoral system was contrary to the ideals espoused by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has effectively raised a voice against this system. He said that his call for change and reforms in the system was timely.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha this year, Minhaj Welfare Foundation Bangladesh has expanded its area of operations for Qurbani 2012. The meat of the sacrificed animals was distributed among the poorest of the poor and the needy. Shah Sufi Mizan ur Rahman (Amir, Minhaj-ul-Quran International Bangladesh) also contributed a reasonable amount on behalf of MWF.
