Sister Naela Majeed delivered a speech on the sacrifices rendered by people to win the war of independence and make Pakistan emerge on the world map. She said that the case for a separate homeland for the Muslims was fought along constitutional lines through political process. This aspect, she said, needs to be highlighted to the international community for better understanding of the country’s history and background.
The President of Minhaj ul Quran Interanatinal European Council Ch. Ejaz Warraich paid a visit to Senior Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz in the latter's office in the main Secretariat Model Town, Lahore. DOZENS of youngsters put their skills on the pitch in a Football Tournament in aid of orphans around the world. 112 youngsters played football at Power League off Jenkins Lane in Newham to help raise money for orphans. Teams consisting of seven players each played for four hours with semi-finals and finals played on the same day. The Summer Football Tournament was held on Saturday 31st July 2010. Youngsters participated from across the London Boroughs of Newham, Barking & Dagenham and Waltham Forest.

Self reform first step towards promotion of peace: Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
Minhaj Welfare Foundation has launched its relief and rehabilitation operations to help the flood affectees who are stranded in water following massive downpour that hit parts of Punjab, Khyber Pukhtunkhawa and Balochistan. A special fund with the initiation amount of Rs 5 million has been established in that regard.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Shab-e-Barat is such night on which Allah Almighty descends to the heavens of the world at the last hour of night. His Mercy calls out for people who repent of their sins and seek His Forgiveness and Help. Sister Sumaira Rafaqat (Nazima Minhaj-ul-Qura’n Women League) delivered a magnificent talk on the topic “Various aspects of personality of Shaykh-ul-Islam”. She started her talk with a Qura’nic verse (128_ at-Tawbah). She said that Allah Almighty sent Hazrat Muhammad (S.W.A) to us as Rahmat-al-lil’alameen. And his (S.W.A) mercy is unambiguous for Muslims (Muslimeen) in this world and in the world hereafter.
Minhaj-ul-Qura’n Women League is going to launch 5-day ‘Tanzeemat’ Camp for the Sisters working in field (chapters). This course will be held at Conference Hall, Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Qura’n International and is all set to start from 25th of July 2010, Insha’Allah.
Allama Sayyid Farhat Hussain Shah, president of the Minhaj Ulama Council, said that the thick clouds of desperation and despondency are dispersing and the religious scholars are coming closer to one another in the spirit of common welfare. He said that the tragedy of Data Darbar served to awaken all of us and it was about time that all religious scholars rose to the occasion and led a scholarly and intellectual attack against the terrorists.
Media ray of hope for people: Speakers address PAT seminar
Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, acting Secretary General of MQI, said on the occasion that Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Minhaj-ul-Quran International stood side by side with media whenever it faced the governmental wrath. He asked the media to stop promoting the corrupt politicians and pave the way for emergence of pious but competent leadership, saying that media was playing the role of parliament while the latter was mum over grave national issues.

On 11th July 2010, Minhaj Reconciliation Council organized a training workshop at a local marriage hall of Gujrat city. The workshop was headed by Sohail Ahmed Raza, Director Minhaj Reconciliation Council, and the chief guest as well. The chief trainer was Ch Ejaz Ahmed Warraich, Managing Director Minhaj Reconciliation Council Europe. Mian Qamar Mahmood conducted the workshop as a stage secretary as well as presented the brief introduction and evaluation report of Minhaj Reconciliation Council all over the world.
