Joint meeting of Majlis-e-Shura & Federal Council of PAT
The joint meeting of central Majlis-e-Shura of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Federal Council of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) was held in the central secretariat of MQI under the chairmanship of Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. A large number of representatives of MQI and PAT participated in the meeting from across the four provinces and Azad Kashmir.

The 48th monthly spiritual gathering of Gosha-e-Durood for the month of December 2009 under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was held on December 10. As a mark of protest against ongoing terrorism, suicide bombings and bomb blasts, the programme was named as "Prayer Night". This was the second edition of "Prayer Night".
A four ember team of the International Committee of Red Cross visited Minhaj ul Quran secretariat on December 8, 2009. Mr. Qamer Javed Malik, senior deputy director of MQI's Directorate of Training, who had gone to his native village to attend the marriage of his younger brother, died of cardiac arrest the other day. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the sad and sudden demise of Qamer Javed Malik.

Head of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Tahir-ul-Qadri said this during a video conference held with reference to his 150-page ‘Fatwa’. “This Fatwa will be released in three languages across the world,” he said.
The arrangements for collective sacrifice have been made in Township, Lahore, where thousands of animals are being slaughtered on Nov 28 2009. Right after offering of Eid-ul-Adha prayers, the collective sacrifice was formally started at 10 a.m. The central leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran International slaughtered the animals to start the sacrificial campaign 2009.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Frankfurt celebrated this Eid-ul-Adha with great religious fervour, zeal and zest. A well organized program was held in which people from all walks of life and races participated. An impressive number of Pakistani community showed up on the event. A considerable number of German, Turkish, and Morocon community also participated in the event and made it the biggest Eid-ul-Adha gathering in Frankfurt, Germany.
On November 27, 2009, the Muslims living in Berlin celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with religious fervour. The Muslim organizations of different schools of thought decided to celebrate Eid on the same day. This consensus within the mainstream Muslim organizations won huge applause from across the Muslim community in Germany.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expresses grief over the death of veteran politician Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the head of National People's Party and former caretaker Prime Minister Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi. In his condolence message, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri paid glowing tribute to the services of late Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi.

A delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran International central leaders led by Secretary General MQI Dr Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi visited Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Mr Imran Khan on November 16, 2009 and inquired his welfare. The MQI leaders included Senior Naib Nazim-e-Aala Shaykh Zahid Fayyaz, Director Foreign Affairs Mr Muhammad Mustafa (G.M Malik), Director Event Management Mr Jawad Hamid besides other central leaders. Mr Imran Khan is at bed rest these days and is recovering fast with the grace of Allah Almighty.
Principal Secretary to Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam and Director Foreign Affairs Muhammad Mustafa (GM Malik) visited Kamalia to participate in the fund raising ceremony for construction of Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Center Kamalia. On this occasion, Muhammad Mustafa (G.M Malik) handed over a cheque of five lakh rupees received from Minhaj Welfare Foundation UK for construction of Islamic Center to MQI Tanzeem Kamalia.
A marriage ceremony of 25 congregational marriages was held on November 15, 2009 under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Faisalabad. The deserving couples are selected after a thorough process of investigation and MWF then makes arrangements for marriage functions plus dowry. MWF Faisalabad gifted a dowry of Rs. One lac and twenty five thousand to bride and bride groom.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Hong Kong chapter) organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony last month at Shek Lei Community Hall. This ceremony was held to award the students the certificates as a token of encouragement for completing reading of the Holy Quran.
